This Magnolia would also make for an excellent specimen plant due it blooming at an early age and its dramatic colouration.
These flowers are a large goblet shape reaching a diameter of up to 15cms (6 inches). To achieve optimum growth plant full sun in moist, well-drained, acidic soil. Avoid windy sites and frost pockets.
This variety of Magnolia was bred over the course of 15 years using lines from Magnolia soulangeana and Magnolia liliiflora.
