This one-of-a-kind F-16A TransportTag is uniquely crafted from the authentic skin of an F-16 Viper/Fighting Falcon fighter jet. With a rich history dating back to 1978, the single-engine, multi-role fighter was instrumental in a host of global conflicts including the Gulf War, Operation Desert Storm and the Balkans conflict, making this tag not just a prized collectible, but a tangible momento of aviation history. These TransportTags originate from the wing of F-16A SN 79-0310. Our bird began its service in 1980 with the USAF’s 421st Fighter Squadron at Hill AFB Utah before moving to the 310th and later 465th Fighter Squadron. We acquired the wing after storage at AMARC in the mid 90s from a DRMO auction, and began recycling it for TransportTags in 2023. In 2014 the fuselage for the airframe was unfortunately scrapped at AMARC, but in saving the wing it highlighted our ability to preserve precious mementos from this legendary warbird so that it can live on in the hands of aviation enthusiasts worldwide.
