In short, we must recognize the genres to which these texts belong. McKenzie examines several genres that are typically misunderstood, offering careful readings of specific texts to show how the confusion arises, and how knowing the genre produces a correct reading. The book of Jonah, for example, offers many clues that it is meant as a humorous satire, not a straight-faced historical account of a man who was swallowed by a fish. Likewise, McKenzie explains that the very names "Adam" and "Eve" tell us that these are not historical characters, but figures who symbolize human origins ("Adam" means man, "Eve" is related to the word for life ). Similarly, the authors of apocalyptic texts--including the Book of Revelation--were writing allegories of events that were happening in their own time. Not for a moment could they imagine that centuries afterwards, readers would be poring over their works for clues to the date of the Second Coming of Christ, or when and how the world would end. Hair removal improvements, ooooh! Ahhhhh!

We were vexed and a little annoyed by that one chin hair removal after a waxing treatment. Lo and behold! Zomchi invented a razor for treatments in between salon wax strips. Painless and easy to reapply hygenically. 🤗

I’ve been hearing all about the benefits of snail mucin for skin care, and now after trying Jasclair snail mucin hydrating serum for post derma-planing, it is easy to understand what all the hype is about when it comes to snail mucin. After derma-planing, it is super hydrating and soothing to put on, and my skin retains that moisture long after. But although it’s great for after derma-planing, it works just as well as a daily serum. For anyone wondering - yes it is a little bit slimy, but it’s more just out of the ordinary for what one is used to with a serum, not anything excessive. The smooth hydrated texture of my skin afterwards it’s perfect for makeup application and this serum works well underneath my make up, at least in part because it absorbs so well. A little bit goes a long way and this is now a must have as part of my beauty routine. I would highly recommend this snail serum after derma-planing and overall skin rejuvenation.
