2015 release. The impulse to invent and realize new music, new forms and a broader comprehension of sound has proven to be a permanent aspect of Marc Barreca's work. From childhood music lessons, to tape and electronic experimentation with his group Young Scientist, to becoming an early participant in cassette culture and the independent movement, Marc has developed a large body of work that moves with and ahead of the changes that music has undergone in the past four decades. With Beneath the Mirrored Surface, Marc continues his quest to create deep and shifting aural spaces by merging the abstract rhythmic warmth of early analog synthesis with the complexity and timbral beauty of acoustic instruments and natural sound. Barreca extracted and reshaped rhythms and textures from field recordings, decades-old world folk recordings and acoustic instrument loops. These sources were first converted into MIDI data using Ableton Live and then transformed and manipulated with Max/MSP. Hundreds of these source clips were then blended and arranged with layered and looped digital synthesizer and sampler tracks. The result is a dense, rich world of refracted light and shifting shadow. Mastered by Taylor Deupree. Marc Barreca has been creating and performing electronic music since the mid-1970s. His 1980 album, Twilight, was one of the earliest releases on Palace of Lights. Beneath the Mirrored Surface is his sixth solo album for the label.

Great rv wheel chocks

After ten years, I finally decided to replace one pair of these. They have taken abuse through eleven camping seasons with my rv and I gave them to the new owner when selling my old trailer. I like these because I can use my orange plastic deadblow hammer to get them tight to the wheels. They are pointy so they really get under the tire and stay put. The rope handle makes them easy to pick up and move to the storage bay.

Excellent leveling blocks for our (heavy) Sprinter van

This review is for the FasTen XL 10 pack (10.5" × 10.5", 10 ea.).
We have a 2024 AWD Sprinter van that's been fully converted to a Class B camper. Fully loaded, the van weighs ~ 8,650 lbs, and sits on 265-mm-wide (10.4-inches wide) BF Goodrich AT KO2 tires. The width of the tires were a driving factor in deciding to purchase the XL-sized blocks instead of the standard blocks. In addition, each wheel carries more than a ton of weight, especially in the rear. To be honest, I had my doubts about how well these plastic blocks would stand up to such loads.
I am happy to report that after three weeks of daily use on both dirt and paved surfaces, these blocks have performed very well, showing no signs of cracking or deforming. While in use, the blocks sometimes appear to be bent (and possibly they are, but this could also be an illusion). Nonetheless, when stowing them, the blocks are perfectly flat and stack nicely for easy storage in the van's equipment box. Just knock off the dirt and pebbles, stack them up using the convenient handle, and you're ready to go.

Excellent set of leveling blocks
