Chicago-born composer, producer and arranger Charles Stepney is known to some for his work with Earth, Wind & Fire, Deniece Williams, Ramsey Lewis, Rotary Connection, Minnie Riperton, Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Terry Callier, and many more. In the decades since his untimely death in 1976, the presence of his name in liner notes has become a seal of quality for record collectors, while his sound has been sampled extensively by artists such as Kanye West, A Tribe Called Quest, The Fugees, MF Doom, and Madlib.

Step on Step – which comes almost 50 years after Stepney’s passing – is the enigmatic producer's eponymous debut album. It's an album full of creative compositional seedlings – originally written, performed, and recorded by Stepney in the basement of his home in Chicago, between the late 1960s and early 1970s, using just primitive drum machines, early-gen Moog synthesizers, pianos, vibraphones, and a few other instrumental accessories.

            Brush has a large head, prefer it smaller with contour to get in between teeth. States that it's soft, but softer would work better.             Goodness I love these. I moved within the last several months, and my new town and state is not as on top of recycling as my old state was. This isnt a super huge problem, but it meant I had to start finding ways to reduce my refuse. Less bottles. So naturally I switched to bar soap. I also knew I wanted to stop using those plastic net poofs. I didnt have easy access to a washer, and I hate laundry anyway.. so washcloths arent a huge part of my life. What was a girl to do? Buy these. Thats what everyone should do. They hang nice. My soap dries. It exfoliates amazingly without being too rough. I tried another brand before this and it was *blows raspberry* 💩. Fell apart super easy, didnt suds up well.. just no. But this one I love. The soap I bought fit just fine, but took up the whole net. I didnt like that. It didnt dry as well or suds up at all. So I started cutting my soap in half and now it works GREAT. Warning - its not good on your private bits. Itll scratch you the heck up. You shouldnt be using anything on your private bits other than soap and your hand anyway. I also recommend harder bars of soap. Super soft super lotion infused bars dont seem to hold up as well. If youre trying to reduce your plastic waste and like feeling amazingly exfoliated, this is for you.

            This handy little tool holds my soap and exfoliates my skin gently.

            I bought this as a bag for my new shampoo bar so it'll last longer. This bag generates a nice lather, hangs off my shower caddy, and allows the bar to dry between uses. Makes shampoo bars much more convenient. The texture of the pouch remains scratchy after 3 or 4 uses so far but it produces a good amount of lather in combination with my bar soap. Hoping it softens up with use. Very good for exfoliating! The bag does have a canvas scent to it, but once you add water and lather up the soap inside it disappears. I love this bag. We always have a bunch of soap pieces in a basket on our tub, and now we can use them till there’s nothing left! My husband's biggest complaint when convincing him to switch to bar soaps with me was that they are so slippery in the shower and difficult to use. This thing is the ANSWER! It's the perfect sudsy, exfoliating grip for bar soaps that is still eco friendly - plus, the string is great for hanging on the shower head after!
