The Doll Squad Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (TRANSPARENT GREEN VINYL) by Nicholas Carras - Bass, organ, wah wah, va-va-voom! The alleged inspiration for the hit television series Charlie's Angels, Ted V. Mikels' '73 spy thriller looks much better than it has any right to, with brash color, gorgeously attired babes, and some visually appealing shooting locations. Composer Nicholas Carras' score for the film provided the perfect mix of Big Band, 1960s James Bond, and 1970s 'wacka-wacka' funk filtered through the mind of a son of Greek immigrants. On vinyl for the first time, and including a DVD of the entire film with a special Modern Harmonic edit made to sync with the LP! The Doll Squad is probably writer/director/editor/producer/special effects technician/etcetera Ted V. Mikels' most mainstream film, as he clearly had commercial intentions for his 1973 escapist action flick. The plot doesn't make you think too much, other than thinking about a bevy of voluptuous women who kick, shoot, and kill evil males bent on taking over the world. Exploitation doesn't get any better than this! Carras composed a rousing score using an augmented jazz band featuring brass, woodwinds, percussion, piano, organ, electric guitar, and a few electronic devices to manipulate some of the sounds. This ensemble provided everything from seventies action music with wah-wah guitar to lovely melodies accentuating the gun-toting lovelies.

Good second-level pickleball paddles for a great price

I've been playing pickleball for a while now, though not ever well. I have progressed from wooden paddles and just trying things out to bundles of basic fiberglass paddles and balls to higher-end paddles that individually cost more than the "multi-paddle plus balls" bundles. I have kids and kids-in-law and grandkids, and not everyone has their own paddles. Thus, I purchased this set to get a couple more paddles.
This Amazon Basics set of 2 paddles, four balls, and a carrying case is a starter set, maybe one step up from the basic wooden paddles that I started with. The paddles are nice, light-weight but sturdy, with a decent surface that should allow some level of control. The grips are nice, and there is some additional grip tape you can use to retape a handle that wears out.
The balls are standard balls, and should get you started.
The case is similar to cases I've purchased before with other sets. Unfortunately, the makers skimped on the zipper. It only has one (another case from a similar set had two zippers), and after just a few uses, the zipper completely fell off (see photo). This makes the case completely useless, and definitely drops my rating.
But, given the price, the quality of the paddles, and the four balls, this is still a great starter set, even without a cheap carrying case. I'm happy to have the extra balls and paddles.

This cute coral and white pickleball paddle set is perfect for beginners or casual games. The paddles feel sturdy and well made, and the color combo is really fun and stylish. I also love that it comes with two different types of balls, so you’re ready to play right away. The compact carrying bag is a great bonus too — it keeps everything organized and is easy to bring to the court.
