The Sori Yanagi Kettle’s minimalist design reveals an array of useful and unique features that have been clearly well thought out by the manufacturer, solving many of the inconveniences that come with other kettles. This kettle is designed for optimal heat conduction, so it boils water much quicker than many of its competitors, and built-in holes to release steam mean that the kettle handle doesn’t get hot when the water has boiled. Additionally, the ergonomic handle makes it easy to pour water without straining your wrist or fingers.

Sori Yanagi designed the first edition in 1953, the kettle underwent a ‘facelift’ in 1994 and later won the Good Design Award for its exceptional functionality and design. Today the kettle can be found in exhibitions, magazine reviews and tests, and design shops around the world. In 2013 the kettle was awarded a Good Design Award again in Japan.
