NYC's The Men have made a name for themselves as wayfaring musicians, constantly evolving and eluding their listeners. Before they were genre-hopping through country, post-punk, noise rock, and more, they were applying that experimental nature within the more confined space of punk. Within that genre they were wildly adventurous, playing noise shows, hardcore shows, rock shows, and switching up the instrumentation as they saw fit, while always operating within a general punk ethos. Their first demo was a hand-dubbed and spray-painted run of 32 copies, half of which worked, and their first shows were at New York dives like Tommy's Tavern, Matchless, and Don Pedro. That hand-dubbed demo kicked off a furious run of creative output from 2008 to 2011, much of which is now collected on the new compilation, Hated. The songs on Hated are pulled from a variety of sources - the debut demo tape, a split with Nomos, a 7", a 12" EP, and a slew of unreleased demos, outtakes, and live recordings. These songs show the huge range and potential of a band still in it's infancy, when they were just beginning to blaze the path they're still on to this day.

Beautiful shelves!

Since new build homes typically don't come with towel rods this was what I envisioned instead. I purchased the hooks separately. The shelves are perfect! I ordered a 36in set as you see with the cream towels and a 48in set that you see with the green towels. They're not loose but not 100% sturdy. I recommend maybe gluing to the wall in addition to the rest and definitely screwing into a stud. They're easy enough to figure out without the instructions. But I will say they're supposed to be screwed in underneath to the rods but they did not come with an appropriate screw for that so I had to use some I already had on hand.

Easy to install..comes with small magnetic leveler which made things even easier! Really nice for the price.
Only thing is other than sliding the wood onto the metal brace, there’s only 2 screws that screw wood onto brace so it makes for a slightly wobbly shelf on the brace… although I have 6 screws/anchors holding each brace into the wall so it’s technically quite solid…I’m a bit nervous to keep delicates on the shelves

Great Shelves! Drywall Anchors are the Bomb!
These shelves are very plain as I hoped they would be so as to not take away from the items displayed. The blue is true to the images so I was impressed by that. Word of knowledge: if you do not hit any studs, don’t use the mollies that came with them; use plastic drywall anchors! They work amazingly well!

Pretty shelves for small space

Good quality shelves and easy to install once I used my own stronger anchors and screws. The ones provided were too weak and made the shelf unstable. I had to patch several holes in my wall before installing them correctly. If they had provided better quality anchors I would have rated it 5 stars. Still very happy with my purchase.

Flimsy and doesn’t hold weight

Do not buy this. The frame this comes with is so small and flimsy. I didn’t even have anything on the shelves yet and they were falling off the wall. The wood is a beautiful color but the quality is awful.
I had different floating shelves on the same wall and I included a picture of the thick metal frame those came with, also from Amazon to show how flimsy this brand is.
