1930s/40s Herbert Terry Model 1227 Anglepoise lampA fine example of a design classic. The Model 1227 dated from 1938 1968. This is an earlier one, so probably 1930s 1940s, with a great art deco feel. (You can tell it's an earlier one by the shade being rolled outwards at the bottom of the shade, for example later ones didn't have this.) The Model 1227 dated from 1938-1968. This is an earlier one, so probably 1930s/1940s, with a great art deco feel. (You can tell it's an earlier one by the shade being rolled outwards at the bottom of the shade, for example - later ones didn't have this.)

The Anglepoise lamp has subsequently achieved iconic status and its engaging, anthropomorphic form is recognised and admired all around the world. Over the years, the Anglepoise lamp has been developed under the careful watch of the founding Terry family, without ever losing sight of its primary function, and unique, characterful form."
This fine quality lamp has been lovingly restored and rewired with official Model 1227 parts from Anglepoise themselves - a new bulb holder, grommets, switch, vintage-style cable and plug. (I can also send you the original Crabtree switch if you like.)
The lamp has recently been professionally PAT tested so is ready to bring some timeless style to your desk, side table or shelf.
Condition:
The original cream paint is still in good order, with just a few expected marks of wear and tear - see the photos for details.
All parts present, excellent working order, fully professionally PAT tested.
