This 2 CD box set is packed with some pretty rare blues sides, most from the 1950's era, with the rest from the 60's. This set focuses mainly on 45 RPM singles pressed on small labels because they're so powerful and exciting sounding, as opposed to a full LP. A number of these performers did record albums but focusing on singles strips the music down to the essential blues. This is the down and dirty sounding electric blues from mostly lesser/unknown singer/guitarists balanced by tracks from a few well known performers as well.. Among the better known perfromers are Juke Boy Bonner, Lafayette "Thing" Thomas, Guitar Shorty, Ike Turner, Buddy Guy, Lonnie Brooks, Earl Hooker, and Homesick James.

Parents beware!
Format: Hardcover
This books is about a trans child running away from home and it basically teaches children how to do it. Nearly a step by step example. Then at the end of the book the author offers “resources” and advice. The first advice the author gives is “this book itself is the advice” (meaning: run away from home) and then the author lists ways a child can get around their parents. Even telling children that if they have parental control features on their phones preventing them from looking up stuff (assuming “resources” to run away) that they can go to the library, even suggesting they ride their bike to the library so their parents don’t know, to look up “resources” at the library. My daughter was somewhat disturbed by this book. She said: “I feel like it’s trying to brainwash me into hating you! I had to remind myself of who I am like every chapter. I’m afraid for kids who don’t know better.” Parents beware!

Nasty
Format: Hardcover
Terrible blaming parent for trying to protect their child. She is committing a great moral evil. Shame on Dial Books for Young Readers for greenlighting a book with such a false, evil, and vindictive premise.

ONE did it again!
Format: Paperback
Fantastic start to a new series. I honestly never expected for him to come up with another interesting idea, I thought this would be another one punch man or mob situation of the overpowered MC. And without spoiling anything, it’s not that. Everything to the art work and the characters is amazing. Go PICK IT UP!

Very Original!
Format: Kindle
This is an interesting story with several unexpected twists, with very nice and dynamic artwork. Let's see if the premise actually holds up in the next volumes.
