What is the active ingredient in Pirinase Allergy 0.05% nasal spray?
 

The active ingredient in Pirinase Nasal Spray is fluticasone propionate. Fluticasone propionate is a corticosteroid. This works by reducing the inflammation that happens in your nasal passages when you have hay fever or an allergic reaction, helping to clear a blocked nose and ease sneezing, itchy or watery eyes, and other symptoms for up to 24 hours.

Do not use if:
 

• You are already taking medicines for HIV
• You are allergic to any of the ingredients this spray contains

• If you are already taking corticosteroid medications, e.g. eczema cream, asthma inhalers
• You have or think you have an infection in your nose or sinuses
• You have a high temperature, fever
• You have recently had surgery, an injury, or ulcers in your nose
• You have experienced blurred vision or other visual issues which may be caused by conditions like glaucoma or cataracts
  

Ingredients
 

It is an aqueous spray 

Active ingredient: 0.05% w/w fluticasone propionate (50 micrograms per spray).

Other ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, sodium carboxymethyl-cellulose, dextrose, polysorbate 80, purified water, and dilute hydrochloric acid.
