Resident Evil 2 — PS4 Game (Physical Disc) | Remake

Resident Evil 2 returns as a completely rebuilt reimagining of the genre-defining 1998 classic — rebuilt from the ground up using Capcom's proprietary RE Engine to deliver a deeper, more terrifying, and more emotionally resonant survival horror experience than ever before. Widely regarded as one of the finest remakes in gaming history, Resident Evil 2 honors everything that made the original a landmark title while modernizing every system that defines how it plays.

The story follows Leon S. Kennedy, a rookie police officer on his first day with the Raccoon City Police Department, and Claire Redfield, a college student searching for her missing brother — both thrust together by a catastrophic viral outbreak that has transformed the city's population into ravenous zombies. Each character has their own separately playable campaign, allowing players to experience the story from two distinct perspectives, with overlapping events, shared locations, and diverging outcomes that reward playing through both.

The remake introduces a brand-new over-the-shoulder camera and modernized control scheme, replacing the original's fixed-camera tank controls with fluid, responsive third-person action that places players directly in the terror — every zombie encounter, dark hallway, and puzzle feels immediate and visceral. Photorealistic visuals powered by the RE Engine deliver a 4K presentation with variable frame rate, rendering the decaying Raccoon City Police Department and its undead inhabitants with horrifyingly realistic, wet gore effects — every bullet leaves visible, lasting damage on enemies.

The classic Resident Evil formula of exploration, resource management, and puzzle-solving is preserved and enhanced — limited inventory space, scarce ammunition, and a labyrinthine police station map full of locked doors and hidden items demand careful planning and create constant tension. Audio design is similarly immersive, with the DualShock 4's built-in speaker used for in-game effects like unlocking doors, adding a subtle but effective layer of immersion.

Characters like Ada Wong and Sherry Birkin receive deeper characterization, with key story moments expanded and fleshed out compared to the original. Journals, notes, and environmental storytelling scattered throughout the game add layers of backstory and worldbuilding for players willing to explore thoroughly. The result is a game that doesn't simply retread familiar ground — it repaves it entirely, while staying true to what made the original a survival horror landmark.

For Lebanese PS4 owners and horror fans alike, Resident Evil 2 is essential — a masterclass in how to remake a beloved classic without losing what made it special.

Logical and easy to read
Format: Paperback
St. Pope John Paul II may have been a polymath, but his approach to explaining the metaphysical relationship of man and the human condition as it relates to theology and our relationship with God make this a great read!

Food for thought (and life) for ages to come
Format: Paperback
Blessed John Paul II shared with the whole world the fruit of years of lived life and deep reflection, prior to being elected Bishop of Rome. Anyone who wishes to delve into this work is in for a hard-earned yet worthy treat, as it is not always an easy read, but deeply satisfying. John Paul II's understudy and friend, Stanislaw Grygiel, once challenged the pope saying that few would actually understand what he taught. The Pope replied, "Some things just have to be said!" Thanks to Prof. Michael Waldstein, we have an excellent introduction and much-improved translation of this monumental work. As I said in the title, there is the pope's catecheses on the theology of the body much food for thought (and life...and love!) for ages to come. Blessed John Paul II, thank you and pray for us!

Good to use every night...I do.
If you suffer from dry mouth during the night, these are the perfect solution. I had tried rinses - they don't last. Sprays - they don't last. lozenges - don't last. Other tablets, only last a few hours. I can get about 8 hours relief with these. Contrary to other reviews, you do not suck on them like a lozenge...they won't last at all if you do it that way. Read the directions. They "adhere" to your back molars...don't drink or eat after putting them in...as both will either dislodge or reduce the effectiveness. However, when I don't use these, my mouth is miserable and so dry. These provide enough moisture throughout the night. The flavors aren't too bad. I've used the mint (not may favorite because I'm not a fan of mint flavor), orange and berry. I wish they had other flavors (cinnamon, licorice), but till then, I'll use these probably forever.
