Six Questions Your JFE Sushi Box Snow Fox Franchise Financial Model Must Answer

We developed this JFE Sushi Box Snow Fox Franchise financial model using detailed research to ensure it reflects the actual costs of running a premium kiosk. The model comes pre-loaded with data for a $261,000 startup investment and a 20% royalty fee, but you can easily edit these to match your specific territory. It is a practical roadmap for forecasting revenue for high-traffic food kiosks and managing your store-level EBITDA.

When will the unit turn a profit?

The unit hits its break-even point in March 2026, just three months after launching operations. While Year 1 EBITDA starts at $66,000, the model shows profitability scaling significantly to $327,000 by Year 5 as revenue grows. Profitability depends on managing the high 20% royalty and keeping seafood costs near the 11% target.

Maximize Store Margins

  • Upsell made-to-order rolls
  • Reduce seafood waste daily
  • Optimize chef labor hours
[dynamic_pic9]

How much capital is required?

You will need approximately $261,000 to launch this unit, with the largest portion allocated to leasehold improvements and the kiosk build-out. This total includes the initial franchise fee, $40,000 for refrigeration, and a $10,000 initial inventory buffer. Sources of funds typically include personal equity or SBA loans to cover the equipment and display cases.

Primary Capital Uses

  • Kiosk Buildout: $120,000
  • Refrigeration: $40,000
  • Display Cases: $25,000
  • Sushi Equipment: $20,000
[dynamic_pic10]

What is the return on investment?

Investors can expect a 5-year payback period and an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 2.61% based on the current projections. The Return on Equity (ROE) stands at 0.53, reflecting the steady ramp-up of the grab-and-go and catering revenue streams. While the initial years are lean due to the 20% royalty, the Year 5 cash flow provides a much stronger exit or distribution profile.

Key Investment Metrics

  • Payback Period: 5 Years
  • IRR: 2.61%
  • ROE: 0.53
[dynamic_pic11]

What is the break-even point?

The unit reaches monthly break-even by March 2026, requiring about $51,000 in monthly revenue to cover fixed costs and the high royalty burden. Labor is the biggest hurdle, with $248,000 in annual wages for skilled chefs and managers. Efficiency in the kitchen is the primary lever for reaching this point faster.

Levers for Speed

  • Drive catering sales early
  • Standardize prep for speed
  • Negotiate better supply terms
[dynamic_pic12]

What is the cash runway?

The minimum cash point occurs in January 2028, showing a balance of $970,000 which suggests a significant initial capital buffer or cumulative cash position. You should maintain a tight grip on working capital during the first 12 months to handle the timing gaps between seafood procurement and daily sales. Managing inventory levels is the best way to protect your cash flow during the ramp-up phase.

Protect Your Cash

  • Tighten inventory turnover
  • Phase signage payments
  • Monitor daily labor spend
[dynamic_pic13]

How do scenarios change outcomes?

The model compares growth scenarios, showing how Year 1 revenue of $615,000 can scale to $1.17 million in a high-performance environment. A high-growth scenario driven by corporate catering contracts significantly improves the 2.61% IRR and shortens the payback period. Conversely, a low-traffic scenario makes the 20% royalty very difficult to manage without cutting labor costs.

Hit the High Case

  • Secure corporate lunch contracts
  • Target high-traffic retail hosts
  • Boost digital loyalty signups

Works well. Easy to carry.
Size: 1-Gallon 2-Value Pack
My 2-gallon sprayer’s nozzle cracked — leading to Spectracide dribbles along my path through the yard…not good! Since a replacement nozzle cost as much as a new sprayer, so began the search for a new unit. I admit that lugging a full 2-gal sprayer around the yard, although it required no refilling, became quite tiring and blister-inducing; I then began reading reviews for 1-gal … Horror stories about bad seals, leaks, no pressure, etc. had me dismayed. However, since Amazon’s return policy is easy, I decided on this 2-pack of 1-gal Chapin 22000. If needing my usual 1.5-2 gallons of weed killer, I could always fill BOTH ahead of time and save myself some blisters and backache! Never having used pressurized sprayers WITHOUT pressure relief valves, I was slightly hesitant to buy these, though…well, I guess I’ll just have to be extremely careful to not get the poisonous spray on myself when removing the pump! ☠️ Sprayers arrived in perfect, brand new condition; all parts/pieces were received. Assembly was super easy, even WITHOUT referring to instruction manual — used channel locks to tighten the hose, as pliers could not be located and hands are not very strong. Tested/practiced with water. Got a feel for how many pumps were necessary and adjusted the spray tip to my preference. My last sprayer required opening the PRV and then squeezing sprayer to empty hose/release remaining pressure in order to be able to unscrew pump handle. The directions for THESE say to simply unscrew the handle a bit until you can hear the built-up pressure vent out. I did just that — no explosive spray to the face and the pump handle unscrewed easily. WHEW! So, today was the sprayer’s maiden voyage around the yard. I followed the directions to pump the handle until resistance is felt (maybe 8x?). WOW — so much easier to carry! Pressure is great — liquid shot out about 15’! Although the “feel” of the sprayer trigger is cheap and small (even for female hands), it was quite responsive and allowed for a steady stream with no leaks/dribbles. Happy with this purchase and hope I can get at least a few years out of them. 🤞🏼 Also, after I’d placed my order, I just happened to be in WM’s lawn/garden section… These are sold there, as well, for a higher price. They seem to be very popular, too, as nearly all were gone from the shelf.

Simple, Reliable Pump Sprayer with Easy Locking Trigger
Size: 1-Gallon
This pump sprayer is very straightforward to set up and gets ready for use quickly without any complicated assembly. The locking trigger is a standout feature since it allows continuous spraying without needing to constantly hold the handle down, which makes longer watering or treatment tasks much easier on the hand. The spray output feels consistent and controlled, and it works well for garden applications like fertilizer, herbicide, or general watering. The build quality feels solid enough for regular home and garden use, and the tank is easy to fill and pressurize without much effort. The handle and pump action feel smooth, and overall operation is simple and intuitive. Considering the ease of use, practical locking trigger, quick setup, and reliable performance, it offers good value for the money for everyday garden and yard maintenance tasks.

Great, Affordable, Pump Sprayer
Size: 1-Gallon
This is an affordable pump pressure sprayer. It works the same as, if not better than, other higher priced sprayers I have used. Itnis easy to clean and has an adjustment tip to change the amount of spray and width of spray. With it only being 1 gallon it is easy to carry while walking the perimeter of my home to spray for pests.

Good
Size: 1-Gallon
I’ve used this sprayer for applying fertilizer, insect control, and watering plants, and overall it works really well for basic lawn and garden jobs. The pump builds pressure quickly, and the adjustable nozzle gives a nice range from mist to stream. I also like the translucent tank because it makes it easy to see fluid levels while mixing. The anti-clog filter is a nice feature and helped keep the spray consistent during use. It’s lightweight and comfortable to carry around the yard. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that some of the plastic parts feel a little lightweight, and I noticed a slight drip from the nozzle after extended use. Still, for the price and performance, it’s a solid sprayer and gets the job done well.
