Curious about sewing but not sure where to start? Sewing 101 is a welcoming, hands-on class designed to introduce you to the basics of sewing and sewing machine use.

In this class, you’ll learn:

• Sewing machine basics and setup

• How to thread a machine and needle

• Fundamental stitches and stitch control

• Best practices for starting and finishing seams

• Introduction to patterns

• How to take & use body measurements

Whether you’re brand new to sewing or looking for a refresher, our instructor will guide you step-by-step in a supportive, low-pressure environment.

What to bring:

• Your own sewing machine is preferred

• A limited number of machines may be available to use if needed

• Bring your own fabric or use materials provided in class

Skill level:

• Beginner (no prior sewing experience required)

Age requirement:

• 13+

Class minimum:

• A minimum of 3 participants is required to hold the class. If the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be notified in advance and offered a refund or transfer.
