Many Christians share the assumption that preaching the word of God is at the heart of God's plans for the gospel in our age, that it is vital for the church's health, and that it is the central task of the pastor-teacher. Many helpful books on preaching are available. The vast majority are concerned with "how-to," but relatively few focus primarily on the character and theology of preaching according to Scripture. Two key, interrelated questions need to be addressed. First, is there such a thing as "preaching" that is mandated in the post-apostolic context--and, if there is, how is it defined and characterized? Second, how does post-apostolic "preaching" relate to the preaching of the Old Testament prophets and of Jesus and his apostles? In this New Studies in Biblical Theology volume Jonathan Griffiths seeks answers to these questions in the New Testament. In Part One he gives an overview of the theology of the Word of God, surveys Greek terms related to preaching, and looks at teaching concerning the scope and character of other word ministries in the life of the church. In Part Two his exegetical studies concentrate on teaching that relates especially to the post-apostolic context. In Part Three he summarizes the exegetical findings, sets them within the context of biblical theology, and proposes a number of broader theological implications. Griffiths's accessible, scholarly investigation will be of value to scholars, pastors, preachers, and Bible teachers. It really works. Cleaner, quieter, smoother operation.

This is the most amazing oil I have ever used. As a previous mechanic and current auto enthusiast, I am very picky about what I use in my vehicle. I tried this on a car I planned on trading in for about a year before getting rid of it and it really made a difference in quieting down the lifters and valve train. Looking internally to the engine I found that this does clean and dissolve varnish internally while also retaining its viscosity. I was impressed by the improvement in how smoothly it made that car run until trading it in. I've been using it in my new to me 20 year old used car I bought which has low mileage and runs great. Using this oil has only made it run better. Quieter, smoother, etc. I have used RP, Mobil 1, Pennzoil, and more. This one is my new number one that I plan on sticking with for the life of my vehicle.

Simply put, it’s a miracle product

There’s a reason this product won the best consumer product of the year, 40,000 customers voted on this product as the most innovative product of the year for car care. Personally it has stopped my 185,000 mile, 16 year old Subaru EJ253 engine from consuming/burning oil in just 2 3,000 mile interval oil changes. I was previously burning about a quart of oil every 1,000 miles before using the Valvoline restore and protect and it has already done its job and then some. Not only have I stopped consuming oil, I’ve seen roughly a +3mpg increase compared to the times I’ve used and tracked MPG while using Shell Rotella T6 and Pennzoil Ultra Platinum; it doesn’t end there either as I regularly check my engine oil dipstick out of habit because the car used to burn oil and I had to stay on top of the oil level. Upon checking my oil level at 1,000 miles into the second oil change I was shocked to see how clean the Valvoline oil was on the sides of the dipstick, using other oils and checking them at that interval has always had my oil looking quite black and dirty just 1000 miles after a change, this was not the case with the restore and protect; it came out at 1000 miles looking very clean, translucent and not discolored. I can’t recommend this product enough, especially at the price point compared to competitors; I will always have a jug of this stuff in the garage.

Incredible motor oil !

I've used this in my 2014 Buick Encore with 91k miles on it for 2 oil changes and the results are extremely impressive. The engine in the 'ole gal is noticably quieter and my gas milage is definately improving. I switched from Mobil 1 to this oil based primarily on reviews and I'm glad I made the switch. This vehicle is not only my commuter car (80 miles per day), but it's my "winter" vehicle so it sees some temperature extremes. This oil is remarkable ! Time will tell, but I definately recommend it.

Good! I would buy this again if needed. The best oil to use in a KIA, IMO. Keeps it clean and might help prevent oil burning. Your KIA needs the best oil you can feed it. They are known for failing engines so why not give it the best, especially if its out of warranty like mine!

USE THIS 3 yr old-10yr old cars But it is not for use for classic muscle car-flat tappet cams

Valvoline has come up with a tested, amazinng engine oil for not the newest cars..but for cars say 3-10 years old that may have some varnish-sludge build up..works slowly enough over time so it doesnt suddently clog the filter, but DO change oil and filter at 3500, not more. In fact 3500 to 4K max for ANY car, any time. DO NOT go longer as some mfg or oil say you can. Tests show that sludge builds up. This oil is NOT for classic muscle cars with flat tappet cams.
