Royal Wood's career has been established with critical acclaim and impressive musical achievements. His latest release 'We Were Born To Glory' debuted in the Top 25 charts in Canada and was recently nominated for "Adult Alternative Album of the Year" at the 2013 Juno Awards. The single " I Want Your Love" reached No. 1 on the CBC Radio 2 charts for three solid weeks, and remained in the Top 20 for 14 weeks straight. His videos for "Not Giving Up" and "The Glory" both found heavy rotation on Much Music. His music has been used in several TV and Film productions, including major TV shows like Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice and Being Human. A 2011 Juno nominee for Songwriter of the Year, a past recipient of the iTunes' Songwriter of the Year, and finalist in the "International Songwriting Competition", Royal has been asked to co-write with such notable artists as Randy Bachman (BTO, Guess Who), Colin James and Wayne Petti (Cuff the Duke). His abilities as a producer and an arranger were recognized on his 2010 release The Waiting, when iTunes and CBC Radio 2 named his record one of The Best Album's of the year. His records have been released worldwide on Maple Recordings/Universal and Rounder Europe, and he has successfully toured in Canada, USA, Germany, France, The Netherlands, UK, Ireland and Italy. I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters.
That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception.
SPOILER:
The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured.
I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

A good read

A good read, just fluffy cuteness, no antagonism. I like all the characters. It could have used another round of editing however, glanfds being one error that cracked me up, and my personal pet peeve was that the author kept using the word fill instead of feel, which I promise you are not interchangeable haha, but it's definitely better than the majority of books I read on here mistake-wise.
