Serendipities surround the collaboration between Berlin’s Stroboscopic Artefacts label founder Lucy and their most recent record with Malaysian Bangkok based emerging artist Wanton Witch, who as newcomer to the scene has received great acclaim with her debut LP becoming one of the best albums of 2021 on Resident Advisor and album of the day on Bandcamp. The release culminates in the reimagining of WW album as seen and felt through the lens of Lucy. This is a follow up full-length album by Lucy not approached as a usual remixes record, but instead a fully fleshed out new body of work with the WW material being an integral part of Lucy’s sonic palette.
Despite the label hiatus during the first year of lockdowns, the isolation of the pandemic helped create a fertile ground for a back and forth between Wanton Witch and Lucy’s own distinct sound palettes to collide. With the normal every day pressures of touring lifted and enlightened by WW’s sonic world, Lucy has seen this as a positive opportunity to manifest new pathways of connectivity and process a phase of personal growth. Not simply about the breaking of gender lines, but also about the blurring of creative boundaries, especially when making music.
Lucy’s original patronage of Wanton Witch and her relatively fresh and new voice in the electronic music scene can be seen as a contribution to this idea of dismantling industry norms. In more than a decade of SA operations this is a reset moment for the label’s mission focusing on empowering new talent, refreshing and growing with them, presenting a dynamic two-way process between the label as a whole and the individual artists output.

This osmosis of thought and feeling, even through massive distances, can be so real and tangible. Lucy’s new album is a testament to the power of connective tissue in collaboration. Great YA Thriller
Format: Audiobook
I thought this book was well written and fast paced. Everything you want in a good thriller. It was written exactly like a dramatic reality show and it kept you guessing until the end. It was a quick fun read if you are in the mood for a reality show that has the feeling of clue and and escape room all in one.

Exciting YA adventure
Format: Hardcover
📚 Do you find yourself shouting answers at game shows? Have you ever braved an escape room? Or maybe you’re just a sucker for a book with stenciled edges? If you answered "yes" to any of the above, I invite you to step into this original YA murder mystery.
The plot follows a team of teenage contestants navigating an escape-room-themed reality show through, puzzles, sabotage, betrayal, and... murder.
💭 I showed up for the pretty book cover, but stayed for the cleverness of the plot. It was suspenseful, entertaining, and very educational! I think adults and teens alike will get a kick out of the riddles woven throughout the story.
The characters were such a highlight for me. Watching four complete strangers transform into a close-knit team over the course of the season was so fun. Friendship, loyalty, and trust are the heart of the book, but there’s also plenty of romance, crime, and amateur sleuthing. I was hoping for a slightly different direction for the finale, but it was still an unexpected, action-packed ending.
⚖️ All in all, the story inside was just as good as the "pretty book" aesthetic on the outside. This was an exciting, fresh YA mystery. 4/5 ⭐ from me!

Nerdy Mystery

Such a fun, game-solving, while murder-mystery-solving, good time! I think Tamara Moss' crime thriller influence really shines with Marissa's collaboration!b while i got some of the puzzles, the whodunnit twist was a surprise! A good time that should be far reaching beyond just "YA"

Rooting for the Underdogs
Format: Hardcover
The Escape Game pulled me in with its strong cast of characters and the way their relationships unfolded under pressure. Marissa Meyer does a great job creating characters you want to root for, and that emotional investment made the story shine for me.
The pacing started a little slower than I expected, and it took me some time to fully settle into the world and the stakes. But once the story found its rhythm? I was hooked. The second half absolutely flew by—I finished it in about two hours because I had to know what happened next.
The tension builds beautifully, the twists land well, and that ending? Such a strong cliffhanger. Now I’m already counting down until the sequel because I need answers. If you can hang in through the slower start, the payoff is definitely worth it.
