Elevate your outdoor surroundings with the Avalon Twin Spill Fire & Water Feature by The Outdoor Plus. Find the Right Ignition System for Your Space

The Avalon Fire and Water Bowl Feature offers a range of ignition options, available in both Natural gas and Liquid Propane, to suit different preferences and uses:

Match-Lit Ignition:

The simplest and most economical option, match-lit ignition requires lighting the bowl manually with a match or lighter and does not include any automated flame monitoring or electronic components. It’s straightforward to use, highly reliable, and typically the most budget-friendly ignition choice. This is ideal for residential settings where manual control is preferred, and a permanent fuel source is present.

Match-Lit Ignition with Flame Sense:

Combines the simplicity of a traditional match-lit system with the added safety of flame-sensing technology. This system requires manually lighting the fire with a match or lighter, but it includes a thermocouple that detects if the flame is active. If the flame is extinguished—due to wind or other factors—the thermocouple automatically shuts off the gas flow, preventing potential gas buildup and enhancing safety. Ideal for higher safety standards in areas with unpredictable weather.

Low Voltage Electronic Ignition

This is an advanced ignition option designed for ease, safety, and convenience in outdoor fire features. This system uses low voltage (12V or 24V) to ignite the fire and automatically monitor and maintain the flame. With a simple flip of a switch or push of a button, the Low Voltage Electronic Ignition System creates a consistent and reliable flame without the need for manual lighting. This ignition system is best for commercial settings or homes where convenience is key, and power connections are accessible.

Customization Options

If selecting a bowl with a Key Valve Kit, this will include proper Key Valve installation onto the bowl. The installed Key Valve will allow for easy adjustment of flame height for a personalized touch. A classic lava rock burning display is included with your fire bowl and it is also compatible with fire glass or polished lava rock if you desire to customize the look of your flames. Memories of the Camino
Format: Paperback
First off, I have to say that my husband and I know Angela, the author. We met her because she is a neighbor of my sister, living in Hawaii. We discovered that she planned to walk the Camino de Santiago de Compostela the same year we were (2016) ! On a visit to Hawaii, we met with Angela and did a little local hike together. She was so enthusiastic and had prepared well. We, too, had been reading up and watching videos, getting suggestions as to what to bring, how to deal with physical issues and weather, what to pack and what not to pack, etc. Still, for anyone doing the Camino - whether the WHOLE 500 miles or doing the required 100 km to get the certificate at the final destination: Santiago de Compostela, Spain - it is a very personal endeavor. Reading Angela Leslee's book gives you the personal story of her "camino," and it is captivating. The changes that take place in her life - the discoveries she makes, the people she meets, the failures she feels, the fears, the habits that get broken (such as food choices!) - all make for an adventure that is life-changing and an interesting read. For anyone considering this pilgrimage, because that's what it is, this book will inspire you. You don't need to be part of a "group." You don't need a lot of plans. You do need to be prepared to be changed. The memory for myself and my husband is that it is the best shared experience we have had together in our 50 years of marriage! Angela's book brought back so many wonderful memories for us. I highly recommend this book.

Feeling Inspired!
Format: Paperback
Reading "The Way of Love" has inspired and encouraged me as I plan for my first (solo) Camino. I thank Angela Leslee for being unafraid to bare all the emotions in her book: the joys, victories, setbacks, disappointments, and pain. It's evident that "The Way of Love" was a labor of love as page after page recounts the 500 miles she walked! I told the author in an email that, in September, when I walk my Camino, I'll be sure to be up and out on the trail "...before sunrise when the yellow street lights cast their magical glow." Can't wait to experience that! "The Way of Love" -- easy to read and enjoy.

Format: Kindle
A great memoir of an “older” woman walking the Camino de Santiago alone. Alone but with many friendships along the way.

An Honest Tale
Format: Kindle
When someone you know writes a heart-felt story of a journey of self-discovery, it's startling to realize how little you knew of their self. Walking the Camino across Spain in 40 days of pain and revelations, Angela takes us on an epic journey into her soul. She marvels, delights, laughs, and cries at the breath-taking scenery, the scents of forests and fields of flowers and grasses, the fellow pilgrims she meets and re-encounters across the 40 days. Day by day we travel with her. Her account of everyday life on the journey is vivid. I recommend this book to everyone who has been, or wants to go, on a voyage of self-examination, who wants to question why they are living in the way they are. Maybe life could be different, if one took time to try a different way.
