Veitchii Gardenia is a compact upright evergreen shrub with thick, glossy dark green leaves.  Its large and sweetly fragrant rose-like white flowers fade to cream and bloom continuously from late spring to frost, or into winter if weather stays warm.  Prefers partial sun and moist, well-drained acidic soils.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: High Maintenance.  Water regularly, do not let the soil dry out.   Fertilize in spring or summer to encourage bloom, but do not fertilize in fall- it will encourage tender growth.  Mulch planted area. Prune after flowering. Drip irrigation will help prevent leaf spot. Insects can be a serious problem, as well as powdery mildew, dieback, and sooty mold.

LANDSCAPE USES:  Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Woodland Gardens, Rock Gardens, Foundation Plantings, and Containers.

Great for flare ups and daily use
I recently tried a new setting spray that was heavy on alcohol in its ingredients and it caused a bad reaction to the skin of my eyes that resembles eczema (I'm sure it was a similar type of atopic dermatitis) and the skin burned, hurt and itched. My eyes are very happy that I found this product for sure and will happily buy another!
