Turning your outdoor space into a bluebird sanctuary helps these wonderful birds thrive, and the classic design of this heirloom quality house adds an elegant look to your setting. Its pitched roof and square shape create a classic shelter, while the dappled and aged, white painted exterior enhances your garden. This delicately crafted, all cypress body keeps the roost well insulated for the bluebirds, and the 1.5" diameter entry on the front extension provides them with easy access. Sturdy, hand-laid shingles and copper flashing on the roof further the classic look, and a slight overhang helps the interior remain dry. Ventilation slots beneath the roof prevent nestlings from overheating, and a drainage gap at the base allows excess water to escape. The hinged front panel opens easily for nest checks, and a metal latch keeps it closed for the safety of your feathered friends. A mounting tab extends from the back of the home, for placement against a post or fence in moments, and the cypress construction ensures a beautiful and durable piece of craftsmanship. Why did you pick this product vs others?: I have burns on my feet and needed something that I could put burn creme on and still walk around in with. I tried other silicone footsie but they would teae really easily. So far these are doing really well for this purpose. They are holding their shape too. The only caution I have is the same with all silicone footsies: They can be slippery on wet floors, so also wear with socks over them. The biggest issues is when they say a size they mean it. The silicone used in these have little give in them, so they won't stretch out and loose their shape. That can be a good thing, or not so good, depending on how well they fit your feet and what your intent is with wearing these. The other issue is if they fit snug around those toes, that tends to be where the first tear in the material will happen. Because of how these are made, the tear is actually more like cracking in the material and once it occurs you won't be able to get much use out of the sock after that. If you are planning to wear them around the house or for long term use, I suggest going up a size or look for the toeless options.
