Digestive

Sandout Pellets assist in promoting digestion and restoring a healthy microbiome disrupted by sand ingestion.

SUPPORT YOUR HORSE’S HEALTH – Horses often graze on sparse grass, consume hay, or eat feed scattered over sandy or excessively dry and dusty ground, leading to sand ingestion which can harm gut health. The ingredients in Sandout Pellets help facilitate digestion and eliminate excess sand from the digestive tract.

NATURAL INGREDIENTS – This digestive supplement for horses consists of over 90% Psyllium husk and is rich in fiber. This fiber forms a gelatinous substance that encourages the movement of gut muscles, effectively pushing blockages forward.

BALANCED DIGESTIVE HEALTH – To support a healthy horse or pony and a well-rounded diet, a yeast probiotic is included in this feed supplement to enhance digestion and revive a healthy microbiome impacted by sand consumption.

Convenient and straightforward, these pellets are easy to incorporate into your horse’s diet thanks to their palatable formulation.

Horses and ponies that graze on limited vegetation or are fed hay or feed spread out on sandy or excessively dry soils may ingest varying amounts of sand. This sand can build up in the digestive tract and lead to digestive issues, negatively impacting gut function.

The gelatinous psyllium is believed to stimulate peristalsis, the muscular waves that move gut contents along, aiding in the expulsion of excess sand that may have accumulated in the digestive system.

Due to the abrasive nature of sand as it navigates through the digestive system, the gut lining may be compromised, disrupting the balance of the essential microbiome (“gut bugs”) that typically adheres to the gut lining. Sandout Pellets also contain a probiotic to help restore a healthy microbiome.

It is recommended to administer Sandout Pellets for 7 consecutive days each month to prevent the gut and microbiome from becoming reliant on psyllium, using it more as a soluble fiber source rather than a means of sand removal. If feeding for longer than 7 days is necessary, consult your veterinarian.

Sandout Pellets is composed of over 90% Psyllium husk – derived from the seeds of the Plantago ovata plant. Psyllium husk contains approximately 70% soluble fiber and is known for its ability to absorb water rapidly, expanding in size by ten times and forming a gelatinous compound rich in glycosides and mucilages.

  • Contains more than 90% high-quality pelleted psyllium
  • Includes a live yeast probiotic
  • Highly palatable and easily mixed with feed
  • Store in a dry place and add just before feeding

I like this brush
Style: Medium Dog, Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
I'd used the thumb brush, the slanted brush and a human soft-bristled toothbrush on my dog over the course of four years. I hate those thumb silicone brushes because my fingers are slim so it slides everywhere. The slanted one is cool. But I got so used to being able to use this collection of human soft-bristled toothbrushes that I'd gotten from the dentist. This one felt weird at first. My dog didn't really understand what I was putting in her mouth and jerked back. We'd gotten a system down for how far back to go so I wasn't knocking her gums and held her jaw out to see her teeth. It's weird not having to do that anymore. I like the brush now. It's a little pricier than other dog toothbrushes. I think if I hadn't used human toothbrushes (and gotten so many compliments from dog vets who didn't know that was what I was using), I would've started off with this one. I'll probably use it again after the three months. Not sure yet.

Low cost buy to put off big costs later
Style: Big Dog, Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
These came recommended to us by our veterinary dentist. The bristles are soft and hold up great even with daily use on multiple dogs (they each now have their own toothbrush). It definitely doesn’t beat a yearly cleaning, but it helps prevent oral issues.

The best toothbrush, and I've tried them all!
Style: Small Dog, Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
I have a little 4 year old Maltese and Shih Tzu mix. She has very tiny teeth that are already starting to show signs of dental disease. I know it's important that they get brushed because small breed dogs are more prone to dental and gum problems. But I've tried every little toothbrush out there and it's a battle trying to brush her teeth. And unfortunately she usually wins! This brush is the best. It is soft and round and she completely tolerates it. I put a little doggie toothpaste on it, which she likes the taste of, and I'm finally able to at least move the brush and paste around her gum line. She still fights me a bit, but nothing like she used to. I would highly suggest that you give this toothbrush a try.
