Six Questions Your Edible Arrangements Franchise Financial Model Must Answer

We built this franchise unit financial model using deep research into the retail gifting and catering sector. Key assumptions, including the $950,000 Year 1 revenue target and the $14,000 monthly rent in high-traffic districts, are pre-populated and fully editable to match your specific Scottsdale or local territory data.

Profit Timeline

This unit becomes profitable quickly, hitting a positive EBITDA of $96,000 in its first year. By year five, the model projects an EBITDA of $694,000 as you scale corporate gifting and catering bulk orders to maximize the efficiency of your $65,000 store manager and production staff.

Improve Profitability

  • Upsell corporate gifting packages
  • Reduce fruit waste percentages
  • Optimize delivery route density
[dynamic_pic9]

Capital Allocation

You need $520,000 to launch this unit, covering everything from the $30,000 franchise fee to $180,000 in leasehold improvements. The budget also accounts for $80,000 in delivery vehicles and $90,000 for refrigeration displays to ensure product freshness from the tasting bar to the customer's door.

Major Uses

  • $180,000 Leasehold Improvements
  • $90,000 Refrigeration Displays
  • $80,000 Delivery Vehicles
  • $30,000 Initial Franchise Fee
[dynamic_pic10]

Investor Returns

Investors can expect a 5-year payback period with an internal rate of return (IRR) of 2.8%. While the initial years focus on recouping the $520,000 investment, the return on equity (ROE) reaches 1.2 as the unit matures into a high-volume catering and retail operation.

Key Metrics

  • 5-Year Payback Period
  • 2.8% Internal Rate of Return
  • $694,000 Year 5 EBITDA
[dynamic_pic11]

Break-even Target

The unit reaches its monthly break-even point in April 2026, just four months after the March launch. The primary driver for this timeline is the high fixed cost of the $14,000 monthly rent, which requires consistent daily traffic and a strong average ticket from fruit arrangement sales.

Reach Break-even Faster

  • Aggressive pre-opening marketing
  • Secure resort concierge partnerships
  • Monitor hourly labor productivity
[dynamic_pic12]

Cash Runway

The lowest cash point occurs in June 2026 at $711,000, assuming you start with a healthy capital buffer. You need to maintain tight control over your $2,000 fleet vehicle lease and $2,500 utility bills during the first six months to ensure the ramp-up doesn't outpace your liquidity.

Protect Cash Flow

  • Phase in delivery drivers
  • Manage fresh fruit inventory
  • Negotiate vendor payment terms
[dynamic_pic13]

Scenario Analysis

The High scenario assumes you hit $2,273,000 in annual sales by Year 5 through dominant local marketing and corporate contracts. A Low scenario would test your ability to survive on lower foot traffic while still paying the 10% combined royalty and marketing fee burden.

Hit High Case

  • Execute hyper-local digital ads
  • Build luxury wedding referrals
  • Maximize tasting bar conversion
Finance: update unit break-even and payback model by Friday.

Lower Cholesterol and Better Digestion, Even if the Taste Takes Getting Used To
Size: 2.32 Pound (Pack of 1), Style: New
I started using this fiber supplement after my doctor recommended it to help manage my cholesterol. I like that it’s plant-based and sugar-free, and it’s easy to mix into water. After taking it regularly, I’ve noticed a positive impact on my digestion, and I’m hopeful it will help with my cholesterol in the long run. The only thing is that the taste and texture aren’t quite what I expected — it’s a bit like protein powder. Still, the health benefits make it worth continuing

Great Product, Works as Advertised
Flavor Name: Unflavored, Size: 1.46 Pound (Pack of 1)
This product works exactly as described. It makes BM's smoother and gentler. I personally use the unflavored, no sweeteners added version, and honestly, it does not taste very good, but I feel that the results are worth it, and I do not like adding extra sweeteners or flavorings to my diet. I have used this product for many years and have found that about 1 1/2 to 2 tbsps in 12 ounces of water works the best for me. You will need to experiment a bit to find the ratio that works best for you. I recommend that you start on the low side and gradually increase the amount of Metamucil as needed.

Healthy, Effective, and great when mixed with Splenda and Koolaid mix. The best of many options I've tried.
Flavor Name: Unflavored, Size: 1.46 Pound (Pack of 1)
I've sampled a few different varieties of fiber supplements, including both Benefiber and off-brands, and I found that Metamucil provided the most fiber in the least offensive beverage. Compared to the other brands, this stuff is smoother textured, and goes down easier, as a sort of happy medium between the grittier supplements and the thicker ones. What about effectiveness? I have apocalyptic IBS, and since starting to take this stuff regularly (one giant glass every morning and evening), my BMs have been much more regular, and more manageable. Flare-ups happen less, and it even seems to do a decent job when taken with meals of cutting the hit to my stomach and gut. I tend to take more than the recommended amount, with an even larger serving of water, as I feel like it helps me stay hydrated and full throughout the day. I started taking the classic orange Metamucil, but although I really liked the superior flavor (rather like Orange Tang) it packed several times more sugar in each serving than fiber, so while it was great for digestive health, the overall health impact was too negative. I also sampled the sugar-free berry flavors, but found that, although it was ostensibly healthier, the flavor wasn't great, and in addition it suffered from the aspartame aftertaste and further effects (Aspartame gives me headaches). So this was a dilemma for me. What to do? I actually wrote to Metamucil about it, and they recommended this product. The downside is that it comes with absolutely no flavor, so you need to provide your own in order to mask the texture (I wouldn't dream of trying to mix this in plain water--yuck!) The upside is they pack 100+ servings into a container, and you really are free to blend it into whatever suits your fancy. Obviously if you mix it with something like orange juice, then you're already negating the benefits of this stuff over the sugary orange flavor, but I've personally found a much better way. I like to mix this stuff with Kool-aid mix and Splenda (Sucralose) sweetener. I buy a ton of Splenda and kool-aid as it mixes up tasting sweet, like sugar, but without the calories or aftertaste. You can dump a spoonful of this stuff into a glass of splenda-koolaid, or just dump 8 servings worth of this stuff in with a packet of koolaid powder and a cup of splenda, and then just mix it up and spoon it into water as needed. Better tasting, sugar-free and packed with good useful fiber. EDIT: I wish I could subscribe to this stuff. Price of splenda has gone up, but I've figured out thatyou can just dump 7 packets of koolaid mix and 7 dashes of sucralose into a container of this and shake it up.
