This Illumination track from 1998 is great fun to mix with. It was only when the master arrived that the realization came that for all these years it has been played at the wrong speed! The vinyl version is now pressed so it can be played at either 45 or 33. Mr. Marvin's "I Want You" came out on R&S offshoot Global Cuts in 1993. This is a hypnotic tribal gem with seemingly random, panning vocal interjections. Lastly is Fuel's "Rigid," which came out on the UK label SCR in 1995. The industrial-strength, stroboscopic snare tattoos will have you reaching out for the smoke machine-button every time.

beautiful story
Format: Kindle
I’ve grown up around trans friends, and LGBTQ community. My uncle, as well as my sibling are gay, and gay culture has always been something I’ve grown up with. When I got a bit older I developed friendships with trans individuals and it was a learning experience, since I came from a very sheltered high school and middle school. This book fully communicates the trans experience in my opinion and can better help others to understand those around them who are transitioning. Thank you Lewis for sharing your story, you’re awesome.

Diverse, hilarious, and fun
Format: Paperback
This was soooo fun, and what it lacked in patchy storytelling made up for in its incredible art and lovable characters. The main character is latina, fat, and queer, the love interest is black and queer (yes, it's f/f romance!), and the prominent side character is non-binary, queer, and literally a mix of kenji and kuzco from the emporer's new groove (they were SO sweet but funny and definitely my favorite part of the book). Not to mention all of these characters are mythological creatures!
I loved reading the characters' interactions because the banter was so cute and fun, both platonic and romanticly. The action began to get a bit confusing toward the end and I wish it was explained better what was happening, but I loved the world building and the characters' relationships with each other so I'm definitely continuing this series.
