Madonna's first-ever “The Virgin Tour” live archives make their debut! This highly anticipated new compilation features complete stereo soundboard recordings of every show that sent the US into a frenzy, plus soundcheck and rehearsal tracks!! [Direct Import from Overseas Original Press]

Madonna's first concert tour, “The Virgin Tour,” took place at the height of her popularity following the phenomenal global sales of her album ‘Like a Virgin’. Although initially planned as a world tour, it ultimately materialized as a North American tour limited to the United States and Canada from April to May 1985. Featuring the Beastie Boys as the opening act, nearly every show sold out, making it a sensational live debut that swept the United States into a frenzy. Footage from the Detroit show was later released as a video, but it was an edited version omitting three songs, not the full concert. The setlist featured single hits from her two albums, including “Crazy for You” and “Gambler” from the movie soundtrack Vision Quest, truly embodying Madonna's early era. While the basic setlist remained consistent across shows, the performances were entirely live vocals and live instruments. The unique live elements, such as variations in solo parts and stage progression, are noteworthy. These live archives feature high-quality stereo soundboard recordings. Unlike most previously circulated sources, which were often incomplete or degraded mono recordings, these are sourced from the best-quality material available: newly restored and edited from the lowest generation master, presented here for the first time as original remasters. Furthermore, after each complete concert recording, bonus tracks include soundcheck and tour rehearsal recordings. These additions capture the band's earnest dedication to live performance. This marks Madonna's historic concert debut, her first arena tour after performing only in clubs and on TV shows. Compared to the highly polished shows from her subsequent 1987 World Tour and beyond, this compilation captures the unique charm of the 1980s “The Virgin Tour.” It showcases not only the freshness and coquettish performances but also the earnest dedication evident in her early work. This is a noteworthy, newly edited live compilation.

The first installment of the “The Virgin Tour” live anthology, ‘First Virgin’, features complete stereo soundboard recordings of two shows:
April 15, 1985 in Portland, Oregon and April 28, 1985 at the Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, California. Following the tour-opening Seattle show, the Portland performance offers distinct MCs and concert flow characteristic of the tour's early stages. Bonus tracks include “Dress You Up” and “Lucky Star”. The Los Angeles Universal Amphitheatre show is also a complete recording with no missing sections, featuring upgraded audio from the latest remastering. The bonus tracks include “Burning Up” and “Borderline” from rehearsals at the same venue.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Fantastic writing and non-stop action
Format: Kindle
This is a promising, fantastic beginning to what will be a 4-book series. Some readers may be content to read only the first 2 books, but I think you'll find that the story is so good that you'll want to keep reading books 3 and 4. Book 1 is about omega Elvana's introduction to the "Starling" brothers and their search for another missing person, Kelly. It's a bit of a rocky start, with deception and betrayal a key element. Hardly an auspicious beginning. Each member has their own path and purpose in the pack. Their interactions and the resulting narrative are so well-written that I found it difficult to put down. There is a cliffhanger that will have you reaching for book 2 as you finish, so make sure you have it on hand.

Fun read
Format: Kindle
I'm not really into mafia books but I love Roxy Collin's other series so I decided to give it a try. It had the same great romance, spice, swoon-worthy characters and exciting plot that are her signature. Arben was my favorite, although it was a bit sudden how quickly he changed from ignoring her to wanting to be pack. There were almost too many twists/layers of lies to keep track of but I'm looking forward to reading the other books. The only thing that detracted from the story for me was the need for a bit more proofreading. It was mentioned that Kelly is a female and male at different points, leading me to think she changed her mind at some point about the character's gender but didn't go back and edit it to align in all places. Like another reviewer pointed out, step siblings are different than half siblings. They are incorrectly referred to as step siblings because they (allegedly) share the same biological dad. There are a few other typos as well but those aren't a big deal.

Stepbrothers, Secrets, and Sizzling Heat
Format: Kindle
Twisted Lies by Roxy Collins is a wild ride through family secrets, amnesia, and a steamy stepbrother romance. When Kelly discovers her life is built on lies, she ends up tangled with three alpha stepbrothers and an assassin who once helped her through a heat. The tension? Off the charts! The heat is real, and the complications are messy in the best way. Full of twists, secrets, and fated mates? You'll be hooked from page one! Love omegaverse drama with a dash of taboo? This one's for you!
