This volume introduces the oral literature of Native American peoples in Puget Salish speaking areas of western Washington. Seven stories told by Lushootseed elders are transcribed and translated into English, accompanied by information on narrative design and cultural background. Upper Skagit elder and cotranslator Vi Hilbert, a 1994 recipient of the NEH National Heritage Fellowship in Folk Arts, includes a cultural welcome and offers childhood reminiscences of the storytellers. Cotranslator Thomas M. Hess, associate professor of linguistics at the University of Victoria, parses the beginning lines of a text to show the grammatical structures; he also includes his recollections of working with the storytellers in the 1960s as a graduate student. Editor and cotranslator Crisca Bierwert, assistant professor of anthropology at the University of Michigan, provides information on the processes of language translation and of rendering oral traditions into written form. Annotator T. C. S. Langen, who holds a Ph.D. in English literature and is a curriculum developer for the Tulalip tribe, provides analyses of Lushootseed poetics. Very compact

The hose is flat, so it doesn’t take up much room, which is great. However, being flat, it’s way more challenging to roll it up, but overall still a really good hose.

Leaked after 2nd Use

It leaks. I read many reviews and finally decided on this Camco EvoFlex water hose to use with our new travel trailer. I loved that it was flat, light, and flexible. On our 2nd campng trip it started leaking. The water was seeping through the hose near the connection to the faucet. (it was not dripping from the faucet connection) There must be small holes in the hose. We did not notice it at first because it was so slow, but after a few hours we checked on our hook ups and we noticed water puddling and dripping down the hose. Luckly we had a back up that was not this brand that we switched to. We tried it again the next day hoping we had just set it up wrong, but it continued to leak water through the hose. I was disappoinnted because this hose was what I was initially looking for.

Awesome Hose for the Price and the Perfect length
Style: -20-Degree, Size: 12 Feet
We loved this product and was so great over the winter. It is so think and does not freeze over the winter. Temp was 0 and below and it had no issues. The length is perfect for a camper hookup and you are not always tripping or having a bunch of hoses laying around. It was so easy to use and install. The hose is stiff so it does not kink but is easy to move around. It is very thick so it has held up well.

good hose
Style: -20-Degree, Size: 25-Foot
I installed it about 2 weeks ago, after reading negative reviews, I was prepared for the worse. I did as instructed, kept the thermostat sensor next to the water source and plugged both ends, however the middle of the body of the house was lightly still coiled. When I tried, the water was leaking from under the insulation, where connected to the water source, just as I saw it in the negative reviews. Then I remembered, the instruction clearly say, the house must be uncoiled, so I disconnected, and stretched it out completely in a straight line taking out any kinks, then I took the ends and plugged them in the outlet and inlet. Tested it again and NO LEAK, it works perfectly. That night, it was 25F degrees, the hose was warm to the touch and no leak (the pressure in my sink faucet doubled, I suppose my old hose was not as efficient as new one, etc...). So, it works. I must say, that the instructions, indicate that the heating element turns on below 50F degrees, my hose. turns on when it it is below 35F roughly, which is fine.
