The abundant mounting options and fun color on this piece create a bath perfect for any birder. The plastic, dark green bowl has a 13.5" outer diameter, with a lip around it for jays, mockingbirds, and cardinals to rest while drinking. Its 1" depth enables even the smallest birds to bathe comfortably in the item, and the hidden heating element keeps some of the water free of ice all year. This 75 watt heater is thermostatically controlled, and will only operate when the water nears freezing. It is effective up to -10° Fahrenheit, and turns off when not in use. Unplug the item and tuck the 11" cord into the base for summer use. The light green, coated metal ring may be mounted one of three different ways, to best meet your needs. Use the metal clamp and sturdy thumbscrew to attach the bath to a deck rail up to 2" thick, or connect the included flat plate to a post or wall to place the bath there. Three scrolled metal legs may also be attached to the ring so the item can be placed on the ground or another flat surface. The plastic bath removes from the ring for easy cleaning and refilling, and its dark green color brings a natural look to the unit.
