"First vinyl reissue of the second LP released by Alavaro Pena originally released in 1979 following the runaway success of his debut album, Drinkin My Own Sperm (FTR 174LP, 1977). Although recorded in Germany, Alvaro again employed his regular drummer, Antonio Narvaez, with a few assists on the second side from Hilde Schneider, Alvaro's then-wife. The first side was recorded by a German engineer, Olaf Dung, who carried his rig around with him in his briefcase. How this exactly worked is unclear, but the music is great and includes some of Alvaro's most classically catchy tunes. Lili Dwight is a long-time fan of 'Honey,' which she often sings aloud at apiary gatherings. Ted Lee does the same when crashing La Leche League outings to the strains of 'Mums Milk Not Powder.' And so on. Alvaro's second album is just the sort of thing you'll be happy to use for a personal soundtrack, regardless of your politics or trajectory. Apparently, however, Alvaro and Mr. Dung had a falling out before the album's second side was completed, which meant there are some ad hoc compositions added to finish out the record. Primary among these are 'Brown Loaf,' something of a baking tutorial conducted whilst Drinkin My Own Sperm plays on a nearby radio, and 'Washindishes,' which is one of the few tracks to ever document extended nose flute improvisations." - Byron Coley, 2016. "Alvaro rides again." - Sounds, London, 1980. "A fabulous collection of musicals and unmusicals, includes a recipe." - Time Out, London, 1980. Another classic piece of the mysterious puzzle that is Alvaro. Miss it at your own extreme personal peril. Edition of 400.

Game Changer
Size: 7pcs Matcha Whisk Set, Color: Light Green
So pretty! The bowl seems a little big? But ive never had a set like this before so im unsure if it is the right size or not. The whisk came with one piece snapped off but it still works just fine. Just worries me about long term use. I am so glad i didn’t spend $50 at the store for one of these sets and just got this one. i love the colors and i leave it sitting out on my counter because it’s so pretty. making matcha has never been easier

Good quality. Works fine.

I've never had matcha or made it before, so I looked up how to care for this set and how to use it right. There's a website called "tea is the cup of life" that has a very informative video and article about how everything related to matcha is hand made, etc. And shows what you need to do. The instructions are also on box, but seemed simplified. They're accurate enough to get you started. Based on the time consuming nature of hand making the bamboo stuff, I'd be really surprised if this is actually hand made with them selling the volume they're selling. It's still good quality, just I doubt it's hand made at this price point. The one star off is for two reasons: the whisk is supposed to make the matcha "frothy". It got a little bubbly, but not more than just stirring it with a spoon or a regular little metal whisk does. The second reason is the bamboo has supposedly less static cling for the matcha powder compared to metal spoons, so you don't waste the labor intensive and expensive powder. The matcha powder sticks to both bamboo spoons just as much as it sticks to a metal spoon, but the metal spoon rinsed off into the tea cup 100% and the bamboo still had a little powder in the grain so the spoon needed washed and a little powder was wasted. Is it enough to worry about really? I dunno. But it seems like the purists are really interested in details like that, so I'm mentioning it. Oh yeah, the description says this one is yellow and their images show that yellow green crayon color, which is what I expected to get. It's that more green color. I don't think anyone would call it yellow when they see it in person. The kit works as intended and it is good quality. Since I'm just getting into it for the health benefits of matcha tea and not for the ceremony, I didn't find the processes "meditative" at all. I'll probably just stick to using a regular spoon and whisk in the cup, but if you want to do the whole ceremonial shebang at an affordable price, this kit will do the trick.
