Each wagtail knitting kit is carefully handmade and packed by me, and will contain all the yarn and notions that you need to knit Pippa – No need to order all the different yarns and bits and pieces – you can sit back, relax, and start knitting straight away. It's all there for you!

If you'd like to add needles to your kit, a pair of high quality 4mm Pony aluminium knitting needles are £2.50, and a pack of 2 Pony or Hemline darning needles are £1.50.

Is Pippa suitable for beginners?

Yes, Pippa is a great project for a beginner with knowledge of basic knitting skills. She is simply knitted flat, making her a relaxing project for a beginner: no need to knit in the round. 

Basic knitting skills that you need to know:

Stocking stitch, increasing by knitting into the front and back of a stitch (inc 1) and decreasing by knitting 2 stitches together (k2tog), and colour changing mid-row. Head on over to my how to knit tutorials if you need any advice!

Pippa the pied wagtail is 20cm from beak to tail. She contains a pipe cleaner in her tail, making it poseable, so please be aware that this makes her not suitable for children.
