Florida’s Ice Age was vastly different from what the North experienced. Ice Age Florida: In Story and Art investigates and illustrates the fascinating fossil record and history of the Gulf Coast compared to what most envision when the term Ice Age comes up. The author takes the reader along on his initial and developing interest in fossil diving and details his insatiable curiosity about the fauna of Florida’s Ice Age, all vividly represented by the amazing artwork of Hermann Trappman.

“Exceptionally well written, organized and presented, "Ice Age Florida: In Story and Art" is not only a fascinating and informative read that will be of immense interest for paleontology students and non-specialist readers with an interest in the subject and unreservedly recommended for highschool, community, college, and university library Earth Sciences & Paleontology collections, it would well serve as a template for similar Ice Age impact studies for other areas, states, and provinces comprising the North American continent.” - Carl Logan, Reviewer (The Midwest Book Review)

About the Author

In 1993, Robert W. Sinibaldi began diving for fossils, and by 1998 he wrote Fossil Diving in Florida's Waters, a book used by many Gulf Coast dive shops to certify divers interested in underwater paleontology. In 2001 he was elected President of the Tampa Bay Fossil Club, the world’s largest amateur paleontological association at the time; he remains on their board of directors to this date. Over the years he has donated hundreds of fossils to the Florida Museum of Natural History’s Vertebrate Paleontology Department for study, and to add to their permanent collections. In 1999, Sinibaldi was the only amateur invited to speak at the University of Florida’s Paleofest Conference.

In 2011, Sinibaldi wrote What Your Fossils Can Tell You: Vertebrate Morphology, Pathology, and Cultural Modification, which was published by the University of Florida Press. This textbook broke down the technical scientific literature in paleontology and made it accessible to the avid amateur and undergraduate paleontologists. Sinibaldi has traveled throughout the state of Florida giving lectures at paleontological societies, museums, and libraries. He has published more than 400 book reviews over the past twenty-five years in various fossil newsletters. In 2012, Sinibaldi received the prestigious Howard Converse Award from the University of Florida’s Vertebrate Paleontology Department for his contributions to the field.

By profession Sinibaldi was an adapted physical education teacher and awarded the National PE Teacher of the Year in 2011 for his work with students with special needs. He has since retired and focuses full-time on paleontological pursuits. He has published more than fifty professional journal articles in his field of exceptional child education and has presented well over 100 times at district, state, and national level on both exceptional child education, physical education, and as a motivational “Keynote” speaker.

Comfortable QUAY quality sunglasses
Color: Dark Tort/Green, Polarization Type: Non-Polarized, Lens Width: 50 Millimeters
QUAY is one of my favorite sunglass brands and these sunglasses definitely don't disappoint! They're very comfortable and fit well on my face. They're lightweight which I love but also have the quality I have come to expect from QUAY. The only thing that would make me like them more is if the lenses were a little darker.. I prefer darker lenses as I have very light sensitive eyes.

Thick, robust and the perfect blend of dressy/casual
Color: Dark Tort/Green, Polarization Type: Non-Polarized, Lens Width: 50 Millimeters, Color: Dark Tort/Green, Polarization Type: Non-Polarized, Lens Width: 50 Millimeters
To be honest this is my first pair of sunglasses that costs more than $25. I never really knew why one would spend more on something you might sit on or lose. Decided to try these after realizing I wanted better clarity in the lenses. First impression on trying them on was the weight difference. These are quite a bit heavier than my cheaper pairs. Once I examined the materials I could see why. The build quality is excellent. The tortoise pattern is rich and looks high quality. Love the polished metal accents. At first I was a little leary about the metal on the front edges (i'm not a very "shiny" guy") but now I think it helps strike a balance between dressier glasses and casual. Very glad I stuck with these through the first few awkward moments. Wasn't sure about the shape at first but now i'm locked in. Curious to see what else Quay has to offer!

Stylish looks, good lenses, warped frame?
Color: Dark Tort/Green, Polarization Type: Non-Polarized, Lens Width: 50 Millimeters
These sunglasses have nice build quality and good lenses on them. The green tint is not too strong and the style is excellent. My frames sit crooked on my face out of the box and they do not lay evenly on the counter when laying them down on the top surface. you can tap on one of the arms and the frames wobble. Looking at the main piece where the lenses are, the whole thing appears to be slightly twisted., which would explain the crooked fit on my face. Granted, our faces and ears aren't usually perfectly symmetrical, but this seems to be a fault of the sunglasses. I have tried lightly bending and twisting the frames to straighten them out, but I have not been entirely successful in doing so in fear of breaking them. They are comfortable to wear and look pretty stylish, but some information on adjusting the frames would be nice.

Sleek and stylish
Color: Dark Tort/Green, Polarization Type: Non-Polarized, Lens Width: 50 Millimeters, Color: Dark Tort/Green, Polarization Type: Non-Polarized, Lens Width: 50 Millimeters
Sleek and stylish sunglasses in a dark tortoise pattern. Simple classic design. Unisex design and fit. I especially like the wired sides that are easy and safe to customized to your head, ear, nose fit and comfort. Seems like a good value for quality, design, comfort and fit. Comes with a slim case. Nice sunglasses overall!
