His discovery of the truth leads to false accusations against him, and a vengeful pursuit as suspenseful as any thriller. The novel is also a powerful political allegory, inspired by the events of the decade following the French Revolution. This is the first paperback edition to reproduce the first edition (1794), restoring the original, highly topical novel written during the political crisis of 1793-4 when the British government clamped down on the burgeoning reform movement. The edition is further enhanced by Pamela Clemit's comprehensive introduction outlining the novel's contemporary reception, its historical and literary contexts, and its alternate endings; three appendices highlighting selected variants between the second and third editions; Godwin's prefatory materials; and new up-to-date bibliography and explanatory notes. Hold up to tough wear - definitely recommend

These are my teens favorite socks. We've ordered multiple sets. Given that he tends to wear then as slippers I am really impressed with how they hold up. The extra large size is great for bigger feet. They wash well and I didn't notice any shrinkage, fading or pilling. This set is going to college with him.

Great Socks.
Color: (002) Black / Black / Halo Gray, Size: Large
These are awesome and have become my favorite socks to have for everyday wear. I have since bought the hightop version as well and there are just as equally great. They fit almost like compression socks. Color does fade a bit after repeated washing but not enough to make a big difference in appearance. They have lasted for a long time and still going. They have lots of cushion which makes it very comfortable to wear.
