Care
General Maintenance: Repot every 1-2 years when plant becomes rootbound. Can be pruned to control size/height of the plant. Can be propagated by rooting stem cuttings in water. Wipe leaves down with a damp cloth every few weeks to remove any dust or debris, to allow the plant to absorb as much sunlight as possible. Ficus trees tend to drop leaves when they are moved, but recover quickly once settled.Temperature: Thrives in normal household temperatures, between 15º-26º Celsius. Keep away from drafts and drastic temperature changes.
Light: Ficus love plenty of bright indirect light. Direct hot sun may scorch the leaves. Can tolerate slightly lower light levels, but this will result in a significantly slower rate of growth.
Watering: Water when the top 2-3 inches of soil are dry to the touch. Do not let the soil dry out entirely. Ensure your pot has proper drainage to avoid overwatering as this will cause the plant to drop leaves, as well as potentially causing root rot issues.
Soil: Any high quality, well-draining potting mix will work well. Avoid heavy/muddy potting mixes as these plants do not like to sit in excess moisture.
Fertilizer: Feed with a liquid houseplant fertilizer once every 3-4 weeks during the spring and summer months.

Washable quality paper plates

An elegant workhorse!

I hate washing dishes so I use these Dixie plates a lot and they are STURDY. They will carry a whole meal without wilting. The rim is deep enough that, should you be so inclined, you could eat ice cream out of them without any dripping or drooping worries. So something like spaghetti or lasagna would be easily handled. I now buy them 150 at a time because they're so handy and that way more economical. I use them instead of a cutting board sometimes. And they just feel the right weight, not too heavy, not too light. For a picnic or a walking-around party they would be the best for preventing spills. But what I enjoy is their versatility. You can even rinse them off and use them again if they've had light use. And the current pattern is cheerful too!!
