Celebrated new-music sextet eighth blackbird, whose last three Cedille Records albums garnered Grammy awards, continues to soar with Filament, a selection of four world premiere recordings plus a concert performance of Philip Glass's influential Two Pages. Filament offers first recordings of Bryce Dessner's Murder Ballades, a fresh and surprisingly upbeat take on a macabre genre of folk music; Nico Muhly's Doublespeak, an homage to Glass and the insistent, propulsive repetitions of classic minimalism; and short pieces by Son Lux, To Love and This is my Line, creative remixes of sounds from other tracks on the CD. Dessner, on guitar, and Muhly, on organ, join eighth blackbird for Glass's Two Pages, recorded live-in-concert at Chicago's Museum of Contemporary Art. A sextet of flute, clarinet, violin, cello, percussion, and piano, eighth blackbird combines the finesse of a string quartet, the energy of a rock band, and the audacity of a storefront theater company. Beware of poor quality issues!

Got limited use out of ball, seemed to have quite a strong motor and was going to be a good buy. But upon going to recharge it for the first time, discovered the USB port was completely loose/not attached. Will steer clear of this brand going forward.

The Ball Never Gets Boring

My dog was immediately curious about this ball, and that curiosity turned into a surprisingly long play session. The movement keeps things unpredictable enough that it holds attention longer than a standard toy. I liked that it encouraged activity without requiring me to constantly throw something across the room. The textured surface also seemed easy for my dog to grab and carry around. One thing I noticed is that hard floors allow the ball to move around much more dramatically than carpet. It feels sturdy enough to handle enthusiastic play and occasional chewing. The bright color makes it easy to spot when it inevitably ends up under furniture. Charging was simple and didn’t become a hassle.

My dog really likes it

My golden retriever has a lot of energy, especially on rainy days when we can’t stay outside for long. This rolling ball has been a fun way to keep him entertained indoors. The movement is unpredictable enough to keep him interested, and he’ll follow it around the living room until he’s ready for a nap.
The material has held up well to daily play, and it’s easy to recharge when needed. Watching him chase it around has honestly been entertaining for the whole family. Great toy for keeping active dogs busy.
What I like most is that it gives him something to do without needing constant attention from us. The ball rolls on its own, changes direction, and keeps him engaged much longer than some of his other toys. A nice option for dogs that need extra stimulation during the day.

Keeps my puppy happy!!
