"Robin and I met in October of 2005 when we were both 53 years old. We were engaged by our second date - although we didnÕt say it out loud (even to each other) until Thanksgiving. We officially announced our engagement that Christmas. We moved in together in February 2006. We got married in September of 2006. It was a second marriage for the both of us. She died from complications due to pancreatic cancer on October 11, 2022.

We were together for all of 17 years. In that time, our love was instant, constant, unconditional, and fun. So much fun! DonÕt get me wrong, obviously our life had its hardships, but loving each other was easy and that made the rest tolerable if not worthwhile.

We felt as though our unexpected meeting so late in life and the overwhelming power of our love was a miracle. We referred to each other as "POG" Ð Proof Of God. And even though my concept of a god has evolved Ð or better put - has been pared down to the simple concept that ÒLove is God,Ó it still holds true.

Our meeting was miraculous.
Our life together divine.
And now, I feel a grief as deep as our love.
