The Hollyland 3.5mm TRS to Mobile Phone Patch Cable (Model: HL-TRS02) is an official OEM replacement and specialized analog audio patch cord engineered for Hollyland’s flagship wireless microphone series.

Standard 3.5mm audio cables are wired as TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve) on both ends, which works perfectly for cameras but fails completely when plugged into mobile phones, tablets, or laptops. Mobile devices require a TRRS (Tip-Ring-Ring-Sleeve) hardware architecture to receive an external microphone input. This factory-engineered coiled cable safely bridges that gap, adapting your wireless receiver's output to ensure your mobile device overrides its internal mic and locks onto crisp, external broadcast-quality audio.

Core Audio & Engineering Features

  • Hardware-Specific TRS to TRRS Wiring: Configured with a 3-pole 3.5mm TRS male connector on one end (plugs into the Hollyland receiver) and a 4-pole 3.5mm TRRS male connector on the other (plugs into the mobile device). It routes the microphone signal to the precise contact pin that smartphones require to register an external audio source.

  • Space-Saving Coiled Ergonomics: Features a resilient coiled layout measuring 4.7 inches (12 cm) resting and expanding up to 15.7 inches (40 cm) when fully stretched. This provides clean cable management, preventing loose loops from dangling into the camera frame or throwing off smartphone gimbal motors.

  • Dual Right-Angle Molded Ends: Both connector ends are finished with a ruggedized, 90-degree right-angle profile. This drastically reduces the physical footprint sticking out from the side of a smartphone cage or receiver, minimizing mechanical leverage that can easily bend or break a device’s delicate headphone socket.

  • Multi-Layer Anti-Interference Shielding: Built with a dense internal shield wrap to isolate the analog audio signal from Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Radio Frequency Interference (RFI). This is critical on mobile shoots, as cellular signals, onboard Wi-Fi chips, and Bluetooth transmitters naturally generate harsh buzzing noises in unshielded cables.

System Interoperability

This patch cable is optimized across Hollyland’s audio infrastructure:

  • Wireless Microphone Systems: Plugs directly into the analog output port of receivers like the Lark M2, Lark Max, Lark M1, and legacy Lark 150.

  • Host Recording Ecosystems: Connects natively to older smartphones, tablets, and laptops equipped with a combined 3.5mm headphone/mic jack.

Note on Modern Devices: For modern mobile devices lacking a headphone jack (such as newer iPhones and USB-C iPads/Android devices), this patch cable serves as the primary analog link that connects directly into an official Apple or Android USB-C or Lightning to 3.5mm headphone adapter.

Technical Specifications Matrix

Feature Specification
Official Model SKU HL-TRS02 (Part Family: High-Fidelity Audio Interface Infrastructure Spares)
Connector Interface 1 3.5mm TRS Male (3-Pole, Right-Angle - Wireless Receiver Side)
Connector Interface 2 3.5mm TRRS Male (4-Pole, Right-Angle - Mobile/Host Side)
Cable Length Profile 4.7" (12 cm) Coiled / 15.74" (40 cm) Maximum Extension
Outer Cable Shell High-Elasticity, Wear-Resistant Thermoplastic Polyurethane
Color Profile Production Matte Black

On-Set Mobile Identification Tip: When rigging this cable in a rush, you can easily tell the two ends apart by looking closely at the plastic insulation rings on the metal jacks. The TRS end has two black rings (Tip-Ring-Sleeve), while the TRRS mobile phone end has three black rings (Tip-Ring-Ring-Sleeve). Always make sure the 3-ring TRRS end is the one plugged into your phone or phone adapter; swapping them backward will result in completely dead audio or a failure to detect the microphone.

My dogs love fetching this toy, then fighting over who’s going to bring it back to me
Both of my miniature dachshunds took to this tug of war toy immediately after opening it. I liked the fact it didn’t smell terrible like most of the scented dog toys I’ve purchased in the past. Instead this one actually smells good, it’s sweet and fruity smelling. It’s extremely durable and very heavy duty. The only problem is that it’s pretty thick and heavy, especially for my small dogs. They still like playing fetch with it, then fighting over which one gets to bring it back to me. It really would have been the perfect fetching toy for them, if only it had been a little bit smaller and lighter. If you have larger sized dogs who enjoy playing fetch and tug a war, I’d recommend giving it a try.

Good Quality Toy, but Not a Hit with My Dogs
I am a bit unsure about this toy. Unfortunately, my dogs do not seem to enjoy it very much. I thought the blueberry apple scent would make it more appealing, but they tend to lose interest almost as quickly as they start playing with it. I was hoping this would be something we could use for games like tug of war, but it just has not held their attention. That said, I may just have picky dogs, so this could be a different experience for others. The reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because the quality is actually quite nice. It feels well made and has a good overall design. However, I would be a little cautious giving it to aggressive chewers, as it seems a bit on the softer side. For dogs that are more gentle with their toys, it would likely be a better fit. The size is also great, and it has a lot of potential. It just has not gotten much use in our house, likely due to my dogs not being fans of the flavor. Overall, if you have picky pups like mine, this may not be the best choice. But for less selective or gentler dogs, it could still be a solid option

Stretchy, but Smaller & Softer Than Expected; Berry Fragrance Dominates; May be Best 4 Puppies
I was directed to read guidelines that were on the internet, prior to use. I was not expecting that and that was a big turn-off. Basically, it's all about liability, this product has the possibility of being torn apart and I am basically warned that if a piece is chewed off, that's bigger than a grain of rice, to toss, this. I was repeatedly reminded, again and again, and again that pet safety was my responsibility. Yeah, I know that. All these suggestions and warnings should have been made clearer in the listing. Is this built to flex? Yes. Does it bend? Yes. Does it stretch? Yes. Is this rugged? That's open to debate, based on the users, for a puppy, to some degree, but their teeth are very sharp. Is this soft on teeth? I don't disagree. Does this have a durable design? Depends on the user. Floats in water? I do not doubt it. Does this have an enticing scent? For a human, yes, for a pet? Depends if your pet loves berries. This is no pigs ear/bone, so, chewing is not a natural draw that I saw, which I think may be better, because this is soft and easier to tear to pieces than expected. To motivate the first time, I found it best to initiate the tug of war, but this is smaller than I envisioned too, causing me to have to bend considerably to participate. A tennis ball in a tube sock is longer. A two-dog tug of war works best with this. Nevertheless, it's a better toy than teaching pooch to have a battle using clothing, avoiding future attractions to my socks. There is some flexibility to this. Durability is an issue. I think this would have been more interesting if it had been made out of rawhide. It does have a comfortable grip, for a human, but the toy pays a price for that with what I would consider fragility. The berry fragrance dominates, it's nice for a human, but sorry, it ain't no bacon aroma. It's like a thick heavy rubber hose. Value? In hindsight, I just do not see the value I was expecting. I mean really, a grain of rice warning not to use. Durability at issue in my eyes. Country of origin? Vietnam. Is this perfect? Not in my opinion. Rating? A strong three (3) stars at best in my eyes. This is not for a tough chewer. I have to constantly monitor its condition. It does succeed as a tug toy, but it has more limitations that I was expecting. I hope my thoughts added a bit of information.

Bully proof?!
Size: 5 in
We have the cutest little pit/lab mix who destroys stuffed toys in about two seconds flat. It’s always a HUNT to find toys he won’t instantly shred. This brand has some of the best! They were in FiveBelow for a while and it was the only brand that stood up to him initially. He finally got through the first only after MONTHS so we bought a few back ups and they’re still going strong months later! They’re also not super heavy so these end up being the toys we play fetch with most often! 100% will be buying more in this line in the future!
