Daily Life In The Barter System in Russell County, VA

In the early 1900Õs Grandfather Charles and ÒNannieÓ Warner Dixon and their 12 children lived a ÒBARTERÓ lifestyle in Russell County in Southwest VA. In addition to being a farmer, Charles was a skilled carpenter, stone mason, miller, blacksmith, cooper and entrepreneur (nursery and fowl incubator). Educated, he had good writing, logic and business skills. His records retention and Ledger accounts were amazing for this period.

This book is dedicated to Cousin Dennis Hillman who inherited this 110 year old Ledger from his mother Iva Nell Dixon Hillman and his grandmother Myrtle Dixon, oldest daughter of Charles and Nannie Dixon. Aunt Myrtle had protected and cared for the Ledger during her lifetime and this is the reason we have access to this wonderful family history today, but we have also have access to valuable history about many other extended family members, neighbors and the community located in the heart of Russell County, Virginia.

Excellent solution to prevent vial contamination.
Good fit. Helps keep my vials sealed and sanitary. Clean before and during each use to prevent issues. The large caps are a great fit on 10ml water vials and the small caps are a great fit on 3ml research vials. The price was good, the variety of size and color are nice. Overall no complaints to report.

Great for the price
They are very nice quality, but the 3ml are a little tight on the vial. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but something to note. The 10ml are a little lose on 10ml, but work great on 30ml hospira bac water
