Prepare your young artist for an exciting adventure into the world of Assemblage with Outside the Box Creation's art unit! Inspired by the profoundly personal and narrative works of Betye Saar, your young artist will discover how everyday objects can be transformed into meaningful art using mixed media techniques.
Throughout this adventure, your young artist will embark on four distinct creative explorations. The first adventure focuses on the "Basics of Composition," where they'll learn foundational concepts like form, balance, and movement—essential building blocks for any artwork. Next, in "Disappearing Art," they'll experiment with mixed media and assemblage concepts, planning and executing mini-assemblage ideas that can be rearranged and re-envisioned.
The "Canvas Assemblage" adventure will guide them in applying glue and layering techniques with various materials to create texture and depth on a canvas panel. Finally, the "Assemblage Masterpiece" will culminate in a special, personalized artwork on a wood panel, incorporating all the learned principles of balance, form, and movement while expressing something meaningful to your young artist.

What is the Digital Art Room?
Outside the Box Creation's Digital Art Room is our platform for digital Art Adventures including a downloadable project guide, printable activity sheets, step-by-step video instructions, interactive games, resources for further learning, and supplies lists for the Adventures including recommended substitutions to help you utilize art materials you already have at home.
How do I access the course?
Using the same email address you used to purchase, you can set a password by going to our website, selecting Login from the top menu, and selecting Digital Art Room! We recommend bookmarking the login page and saving your password.
How long will I have access?
You will retain permanent access to the art room course you've purchased!
