The Mine closed in 2012, limiting the gemstone's supply and increasing its value and collectibility. The Turquoise Petals are graduated — ranging in length from 10mm to 21mm — and are a beautiful sky blue with a bit of golden brown matrix. The Turquoise is arranged on 4 strands of 2.5mm Oyster Shell Heishi, which displays hues of tan and white. The Heishi complements the larger Turquoise Petals and adds structure and design interest. The stones are highlighted by six 7-by-8mm Fluted Sterling Silver Bicones, which are beautifully crafted and add subtle shine. The Necklace is finished with Sterling Silver Cones and Toggle Clasp and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 90 grams and is a glamorous 28-1/2 inches long.
