Taxodium distichum 'Falling Waters' ~ Falling Waters Weeping Bald CypressFalling Waters Bald Cypress is a long lived slow growing native deciduous conifer tree with weeping branches and a buttressed trunk. The soft, feathery like light green needle foliage completely cover the trunk and turn an attractive cinnamon orange brown in fall. Grows best in full sun and moist to wet acidic soil. Falling Waters has a true weeping form and will only grow as tall as it is staked otherwise it will cascade. Type: Tree, Conifer Origins:

Falling Waters Bald Cypress is a long-lived slow-growing native deciduous conifer tree  with weeping branches and a buttressed trunk.  The soft, feathery-like light green needle foliage completely cover the trunk and turn an attractive cinnamon orange-brown in fall.   Grows best in full sun and moist to wet acidic soil.   Falling Waters has a true weeping form and will only grow as tall as it is staked - otherwise it will cascade.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance.  Yellowing can be a problem in alkaline soils.  Twig blight, bagworms, and mites are occasional problems. 
LANDSCAPE USES:  Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Shade Tree, Naturalized Areas, Woodland Garden,  Pond and Streams, Water Garden, and Privacy Screen.

COMPANION PLANTS:  Daylily, Wisteria, Cotoneaster
