In this book, F.M. Cornford explains why the life and work of Socrates stand out as marking a turning-point in the history of thought. He shows how Socrates revolutionized the concept of philosophy, converting it from the study of Nature to the study of the human soul, the meaning of right and wrong, and the ends for which we ought to live. This is, in fact, the story of the whole creative period of Greek philosophy - the Ionian nature of science before Socrates, Socrates himself, and his chief followers, Plato and his pupil Aristotle. It tells of the different contributions each made, and shows how within three centuries the Greek tradition grew to maturity and the fullness of intellectual power.Binding Type: Paperback

Good Thermometer with a Great App
The user experience with this wireless thermometer is much different than with the Chef IQ ones. I had a Chef IQ for 2 years until my husband put it through the garbage disposal. The software sucked, but everything that did wrong, the Thermomaven does right. I don't even have to open the app bc as soon as I turn it the thermometer on, the temp pops up on my iphone as well as on the Thermomaven base - freeing up my phone. The screen is easy to read and is backlit.
My only complaint is that the probe is too big. You just can't use this thing with burgers or thin chicken breasts. I also got the Thermomaven instant read thermometer which will work in those cases, and it's great as well and thin enough for anything. These people really make great products. I'm impressed.

Longer distance and still monitor
Nice thermometer works lon wifi and Bluetooth so you can go farther away from grill and monitor temperature, sometimes on the app it doesn't show the correct temperature you must refresh it. So far so good only 2 cooks with it

Great bbq tool
Works really well. Used it while smoking a brisket. Loved that I didn’t need to keep checking its progress. The app let me know when it reached correct temp

Works great!
I really love this wireless thermometer! Operation is intuitive, the magnets are plenty powerful, painless, simple connection to the app. All in all a great little tool. Plus, I got it on sale for like $39.00!
