We know it can be hard to find the best friction mallets for your gongs, so we've put together some of our favorites for sound therapists, spiritual healers, percussionists, and general gongists who want to make whale sounds with their gongs.
Tone of Life's Set of 3 Friction Mallets are imported directly from Europe in three different sizes for a range of tones. You'll need to wash them with soap and water before the first use to get them ready, otherwise they'll leave streaks on your gongs.
Ollihess Rubber Lava Friction Mallets are sleek, but textured, giving the perfect mixture of grip and maneuverability. They are made of high-quality, natural rubber. Because they're made of natural materials they'll wear out over time. Here's some advice for extending the life of your mallets:
1. Keep them in a bag or box when not in use. Some of the materials are UV sensitive, so keeping them covered helps to protect them from both light and dust.
2. The rubber heads have been created to resist aging. Over time, white spots may appear on your mallet because of the nature of the age-protection. This is nothing to be concerned about.
