Lynn Gamwell describes how the microscope and telescope expanded the artist's vision into realms unseen by the naked eye. In the nineteenth century, a strange and exciting world came into focus, one of microorganisms in a drop of water and spiral nebulas in the night sky. The world is also filled with forces that are truly unobservable, known only indirectly by their effects--radio waves, X-rays, and sound-waves. Gamwell shows how artists developed the pivotal style of modernism--abstract, non-objective art--to symbolize these unseen worlds. The best electric opener by far!

This is the 3rd or 4th opener I've purchased in the last two years. This is by far the best! Top reasons this is the best:
#1: it has opened every single bottle I've tried - even ones the other struggled with
#2: press the button and let go; you don't have to hold the stupid button in (great for folks with bad thumbs)
#3: I like the light
#4: Battery level indicator and battery life
ALL THIS translates to great value, ease of use, great cork removal
The only thing I didn't like is that there is no stand per se (it rests on the foil cutter). Easily solved with several stands from the other inferior openers
