Quantum uses an integrated filter-to-housing design that attaches both components with four captive screws, making for a positive surface area seal and easy installation. Its durable sealed housing features a unique, five rib, industrial-grade look for aFe quality recognition. The Pro 5R performance air filter features five layers of progressively finer porosity cotton gauze media, providing maximum performance. Quantum air filters are specifically designed for Quantum Series intake systems with an injection molded base and top for lighter weight and rigidity. The filter base also features a 3-angle velocity stack for smooth, even air flow. Quantum uses a dyno tuned, CAD-designed intake tube to achieve optimum air flow. It’s made from high impact, XLPE material for heat soak resistance and durability. The Quantum Intake System includes silicone bellows couplings to absorb excessive engine movement and provide flexibility for a secure and easy install. Quantum intakes are designed with fewer parts for a quick and simple installation. This is a direct fit intake system that utilizes factory mounting points and requires no cutting or modifications. The filter securely fastens to the housing with four captive screws, eliminating lost hardware, while a silicone bellows coupling absorbs excessive engine movement and provides flexibility for an easy install.

I’ve played with quite a few different pickleballs over the past couple of years, including several cheaper “no-name” brands, and these Franklin X-40 balls consistently perform better for me. Performance-wise, they have a very consistent feel and bounce. There’s a reason these are used so widely in organized play and tournaments—they simply play reliably from game to game. While they may cost a little more than generic brands, I’ve actually found them to be a better value over time because they last longer and don’t need replacing nearly as often. Overall, these are my go-to outdoor pickleballs now. Durable, highly visible, and consistent on the court. Definitely worth it if you play regularly.
