Road To Guangdong places you in the shoes of 23-year-old graduate Sunny, as she embarks on the road trip of a lifetime with her 68-year-old aunt Guu Ma, while attempting to maintain the weathered yet beloved family car, ‘Sandy’. After Sunny unexpectedly inherits her family’s restaurant, she sets out with Guu Ma to visit distant relatives, rekindle relationships, discover secret family recipes, and ultimately, reignite the family restaurant.
Challenges along the way
Drive across the stunning Chinese province of Guangdong, as you attempt to keep the car alive throughout your journey. Dive under the hood, and tinker with car parts such as the engine, gearbox, oil filter, and so on. Keeping the old car alive won’t be easy – manage petrol and oil levels to sustain the vehicle’s integrity and reduce wear-and-tear. Build-up stock of useful items in your inventory, and avoid calling out the mechanic.
Choices and outcomes
In Road To Guangdong, navigate interesting narrative puzzles and moral choices. Your dialogue choices will shape Sunny’s character, mould relationships with family members and determine various outcomes throughout the story.
