To create a seal between the AEM heatshield/airbox and engine cover a rubber edge trim is included. The air intake system is backed by AEM's Lifetime Limited Warranty. Some AEM air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards, while others are 50 state legal. Absorbent but sometimes no indicator.
So sometimes I get the diapers with the indicator stripe and sometimes I get the nice decorative Sesame Street kind that has no clear indicator. Either way no complaints. Haven't had a blowout yet on any size.
Tips on preventing blowouts:
1. Make sure you have the right size!
2. Make sure put the diaper on right. (Squirmy kid)
3. Make sure the diaper flares are out around the thighs.
4. Make sure you change the diaper often enough.
5. Too much desitin can make blowouts happen more often.
