Marsh Mud and Mummichogs: An Intimate Natural History of Coastal Georgia"This book," writes marine biologist Evelyn B. Sherr, "is meant to give others an understanding of the fascinating life of the region, from the smallest creatures in marsh mud and estuarine water, to the mummichogs and multitudes of other animals that find food and shelter in the vast expanses of marsh grass, in the sounds, and along the beaches of the Georgia Isles." Sherr not only spent years doing research in coastal Georgia, she began her family

"This book," writes marine biologist Evelyn B. Sherr, "is meant to give others an understanding of the fascinating life of the region, from the smallest creatures in marsh mud and estuarine water, to the mummichogs and multitudes of other animals that find food and shelter in the vast expanses of marsh grass, in the sounds, and along the beaches of the Georgia Isles." Sherr not only spent years doing research in coastal Georgia, she began her family there. Although Sherr's career would take her around the world, this special place stuck with her. Here she shares her deep knowledge of the remarkable environment that she, her scientist husband, and their two children explored time and again.

Dr. Sherr is the ideal companion with whom to discover coastal Georgia. She points out its swimming, running, flying, drifting, and wriggling wildlife--and tells how it all exists in balance in a landscape subject to its own daily ebbs and flows, its own seasonal cycles. As we learn about Georgia's distinctive intertidal salt marshes, subtidal estuaries, and open beaches and dunes, Sherr reveals the creatures that support--and are supported by--these habitats: the microbes in estuarine water and in marsh mud; the zooplankton swarming in the tidal rivers and sounds; and numerous fish, reptiles, birds, and mammals.

This engaging and curiosity-rousing book blends scientific fact with a timely conservation message and anecdotes of a family's encounters with nature.

Works Well, Easy to Clean, Just Watch Stove Temp
Color: Linen Gray
I bought this set to replace a stainless steel set I have after the nickel in the stainless steel cookware starting leeching into my food and causing some pretty severe reactions. I made sure to read the instructions that came with this ceramic-coated cookware before use, and made a note to not heat it on high - I have cast iron for that anyway. I appreciate how light weight this cookware is, and how easy it is to clean with soap and water - I don't put my cookware in the dishwasher. So far it appears to work well making sauces, heating vegetables, cooking pasta, but I do have to plan a little extra time to get water to boil, of course. One thought for the designers - it would be helpful if the lids fit more than 1 pot. It would be nice, for instance, for the large pot lid to fit the large skillet for sauces that need to simmer and/or reduce for a while. Overall, this cookware is an extremely good value and I'd purchase it again.

Great value, well made, but get the stainless ones for max performance on induction.
Color: Ivory
Good quality but they don't heat up as fast as the stainless steel amazon basics cookware i also have, my induction stove can boil water in less than 2 minutes with stainless, but the ceramic takes much longer, but still fast. I'm not sure of how much safer the ceramic is vs teflon pans, as ceramic is not a standardized thing. Overall i'm pleased and great value for the money

Looks good and the non-stick is great.
Color: Ivory
I really like the look of this cookware. The non-stick is great and cleanup is easy. I do notice a few scrapes in the pans. I am very careful about the utensils I am use on them so not sure what happened. But it is not too bad and not a game changer. I would like lids for all the pans so I hope those are available for purchase. Overall I am pleased.

Great quality and value
Color: Linen Gray, Color: Linen Gray
I’ve been using the Amazon Basics ceramic nonstick set regularly, and it performs really well. Food cooks evenly and doesn’t stick, and cleanup is quick. The handles stay cool, and everything feels sturdy. Looks luxe. Color looks great! For the price, it’s a solid, reliable set.
