Robert Ryves left 16th century France because of religious persecution and established a family seat in Dorset, England. Years later, descendants of Robert Ryves traveled to the American colony of Virginia to escape the political and religious climate in 17th century England. In the 18th century, some members traveled south from Virginia, looking for opportunities opening in North Carolina.

Robert RyvesÕ seventh great grandson Edmond Reaves continued the family's southern migration by moving into Georgia in the early 19th century and settling in Alabama by the middle of that century. Much of the family remained in Alabama as pioneers.

Many of Robert RyvesÕ descendants settled in modern day Etowah and Calhoun Counties in Alabama. The area of Hokes Bluff, Alabama was where EdmondÕs son, Nathan Reaves, NathanÕs son, John S. Reeves, and grandson, William Clemens Reeves, lived in the 19th and 20th centuries and where, in the 21st century, many of William Clemens ReevesÕ descendants still remain.

Packed with ideas across most physics- a good purchase even for an adult.
Format: Paperback
Great information density! I though they did a good job of covering the basics to a higher resolution than I expected. I bought this for my 10 year old nephew, it's a bit out of his reach as far as information density- the pictures help a great deal but it is definitely a book that will require explanation for you ger children. I don't think it's ever too early to have exposure to this science.

My son borrowed the book from local library, he kept reading and became very interested in physics. He asked me to buy one so he could read it anywhere anytime. We are very satisfied with this book.

Really great basic/intro to physi
Format: Paperback
Purchased as a birthday present for my very smart 14 year old grandson. The book gives simple discussions about most basic elements of physics. I’m hoping it is not too simple but not too complex. First look tells me I made a good choice. I may buy another one just to have around the house for other grand kids. I’ll give an update after he gets into it a bit.
