Specialist Watch Case Pressure Tester (SKU: WCPT-6ATM)

Ensure the water resistance of your watches with this specialist watch case pressure tester. Designed to test the seals and casing of watches, it is an affordable option for verifying water resistance up to 6 ATM. While some watches are rated for higher pressures, testers exceeding this rating can be significantly more expensive. Based on our experience, this tester is effective for determining the water-tightness of the vast majority of watches.

Applications:

  1. Leak Detection: Ideal for determining if a leak is due to user error, such as failing to screw down the crown, or a genuine failure of the watch.
  2. Collector Use: Perfect for collectors of older dive watches or water-resistant models who wish to test them before snorkeling or swimming.

Features:

  • Transparent Cylinder: Allows you to observe which part of the watch is not waterproof, indicated by the appearance of small bubbles.
  • Accurate Detection: Helps identify routine seal failures and pinpoint the exact location of the problem.

Specifications:

  • Capacity: 1 or 2 watches can be tested simultaneously.
  • Material: Aluminium.
  • Maximum Test Height: 72 mm.
  • Maximum Test Width: 65 mm.
  • External Pressure Interface: 6 N.
  • Pressure Test Range: 0.3 - 6 bar.
  • Cylinder Maximum Pressure: 10 bar.
  • Cylinder External Diameter: 80 mm.
  • Cylinder Internal Diameter: 65 mm.
  • Cylinder Height: 140 mm.
  • Weight: 3.4 kg.
  • Dimensions: 240 mm x 145 mm x 275 mm.

How to Use the Pressure Tester:

  1. Prepare the Cylinder: Fill the cylinder with distilled water up to the indicated level to avoid lime deposits.
  2. Place the Watch: Attach the watch(es) to the internal hook.
  3. Secure the Lid: Replace the lid and screw it down tightly using the two tensioning nuts on the top.
  4. Increase Pressure: Use the lever to raise the pressure to 3 atmospheres (as per the Swiss watch industry standard), then wait for 3 minutes to allow air to enter the watch. Increase the pressure by cranking the handle a few more times if necessary.
  5. Immerse and Observe: Immerse the watch into the water and immediately release the air pressure by pressing the knob. Watch for small air bubbles escaping from the case, indicating a seal failure. If bubbles are observed, lift the watch out of the water and address the issue, such as replacing the seal.

Preparation Before Testing:

  • Inspect for Obvious Issues: Check for chipped crystals, faulty crowns, cracked cases, or loose backs.
  • Check for Water Damage: Look for signs of previous water damage, indicating a problem.
  • Change the Battery: If testing a battery-operated watch, replace the battery prior to testing to avoid repeated tests.

This pressure tester is a valuable tool for both professional watchmakers and watch enthusiasts, ensuring the reliability and water resistance of their timepieces.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
