Intended for practicing fundus assessment and massage skills, this trainer with a 2nd-degree midline episiotomy replicates the normal anatomy of the status-post or postpartum female abdomen. The model’s upper thighs articulate for ease in positioning, and it includes the realistic landmark of the symphysis pubis. The uteri are interchangeable between one that is firm and well-contracted, to one that is “boggy.” The genitalia is elongated, contains swelling in the clitoral area, and the vaginal orifice is more visible and opened. In addition, the labium minus is more flapped to expose the vaginal canal. The fundus is offset secondary to bladder distention, and anal hemorrhoids are also visible.
