artist biography
Gert Ingvar Hansson-Kaffa was born December 19, 1934 in Kristianstad. He was a Swedish artist and designer.

Hansson-Kaffa was primarily self-taught as an artist but received some tuiton from Axel Olsson (Swedish 1919-2001) and during private study trips to Denmark. He exhibited in both solo and group shows. His debut solo exhibition was in Kristianstad in 1952. He showed together with Börje Nettelbring and Thure Holmgren in Karlskrona in 1955. In addition to his fine art and produced a number of public artworks including a painting in Kristianstad's Courthouse, a mural in Vinslöv's Folk School and murals at churches. Examples of his work are held in collection of the Karlshamn Museum and of the former King of Sweden - Gustav VI Adolf.

He passed away in 2009.
