Nase:  typical Kilkerran style, there is a citrus element on the nose with notes of lemon and key lime pie, along with touches of toasted rye bread and peat smoke.  

Gaumen: There are notes of toasted marshmallows and campfire embers immediately on the palate, with hints of vanilla and custard.

Abgang: smokiness carries through to the finish, along with a mineral note to round off this dram.

The Work of Human Hands – S pringbank und die zugehörige Schwesterbrennerei Kilkerran produzieren ihre Single Malts zu 100% handwerklich, traditionell und vor Ort in Campbeltown. Infolge der ursprünglichen Verfahren stehen daher lediglich geringe Produktionskapazitäten zur Verfügung. Jeder Campbeltown Single Malt Whisky aus der Sp ringbank Familie J. & A. Mitchell & Co. Ltd offenbart dabei seinen eigenen Stil durch unterschiedliche Destillationsstufen und Rauchintensitäten. K ilkerran ist ein leicht getorfter, zweifach destillierter Single Malt, der ohne Farbstoff und Kältefiltrierung abgefüllt wird.  Die Brennerei Glengyle wurde im Jahr 1873 von William Mitchell gegründet und produzierte einen typischen Campbeltown Malt, bevor sie 1925 scheinbar für immer ihre Tore schloss. 2004 dann die Wiedereröffnung – erneut durch die Nachfahren der Mitchells. Seitdem werden hier leicht getorfte Whiskys unter dem Label Kilkerran produziert. Das Malz wird von der Schwester-Brennerei S pringbank bezogen.
